Well Frank my friend...you've got your bike and your riding gear up for sale so I just sort of figured 1 + 1 = 2 and you'd jump in if you felt the urge!!!

So, are you in or are you just trying to tease me??? :cheeky1:

Okay   ....

Here's the ROUTE that Winger and I will be riding. Dave will be riding up from his place in PA, July 2nd and staying overnight at my place. I just hope he doesn't flood out my basement like my guests from WA did!  :D :cheeky1:

We will leave for Port Orchard(PO) on July 3 and making camp on the Canadian side of the Soo, so as to avoid any 'campsite availability' problems in MI, due to it being your July 4th weekend. No doubt the campsites will be busy/full.

As you can see there is one 'big mileage day', when we scoot across the top of ND and into MT. Since MT has a speed limit of 70mph, I think that day will be quite doable for us. Long  ... yup   .... but doable with an early jump on the day!

We are supposed to meet up with 2 other rider friends of mine, at Glacier NP. Notice how I made that day(riding from Point E to F) shorter, so we can explore a lot of the sights in Glacier

We will be spending two nights in Banff, so we can run up over the Icefields Pkwy, to Jasper and back to the same campsite, taking in some of the sights along the way. That way if we are late in returning, we don't have to worry about finding a campsite.

10 days in total to get out to PO, WA., from my place in ON.

Dusty, that is the route I would like to take, at least from North Dakota on out. At this point it does not look like it is in the cards. I still have a little hope, but only a little, that I will be able to do this one.

I had a friend killed in Glacier Park earlier this year.  An Indian lady in an SUV crossed the yellow lines and hit him head on on his BMW.  What a Tragic loss.  A great guy, great rider, father and business man.

Hey Flyone, I'm concerned about your calendar...would the Rhinos be able to leave your location on the morning of Tuesday July 5th? I'm thinking that our group would roll into your location on Monday afternoon or early evening just in time for a 4th of July bar-b-que and fire works that you will be treating us to!!! That's assuming we adjust our start date as Dusty has suggested to give us more time.

Wow! This strikes me as the trip of a lifetime! My wife and I are discussing it. I'd sure like to do it. It all depends on whether I find another job or just retire next June. I'm beginning to think the heck with another job!

Come on in Larry! If you find another job just make 3 weeks off in July a part of your pre-employment agreement!

Hi all;

this thread is going to be moved to the NASSIR 4 forum by tomorrow, so don't get alarmed when it moves.

I was under the impression it was staying on the general forum until it started to drop off the front page.  No matter what we want as many to know they can travel with us to Nassir 4!

Hey Bernie (Dubswing), I will be taking time off from work from Saturday, July 2nd through Sunday, July 24th (23 days total).

I think we have to wait a bit and see who else is going to join us that is coming from points North, South or East of you before we can determine out actual start date. We may have some folks that wll need Saturday the 2nd as a travel day to get to Knoxville or there abouts.

It would have to be either Saturday July 2nd or Sunday July 3rd I'm thinking. This would put us in KS to meet the Rhinos on either Sunday night or Monday night.

Just thinking out loud...does this scenerio fit with what you were thinking?

The reason why it was moved to the NASSIR forum was because it has to do with NASSIR , we learned our lesson from the first NASSIR meet in greet when there were posts about it in every forum and members had to look everywhere for info and it was decided to group all of the threads into a sub forum just for NASSIR and it has worked ever since .

So anything to do with NASSIR goes in the NASSIR forum . easy to find .. Ciaran
