Sorry to hear that Dusty, it was good meeting you last year. Also, planning to tromp around your back yard enroute to Eureka. The one stretch of Lake I haven't done is the North Shore of Superior.

Game plan is Winnipeg to Duluth to Thunderbay to get that done.

Phase 2 is to get to Pelee Island. For this I figured Thunderbay to Algonquin Park (worthwhile?) to Simcoe to see an old friend for a day or two, then Pelee Island. Or whatever you may suggest.

Phase 3 is getting to Eurkea Springs, which appears to be gas'n'go.

Phase 4 is getting home, for this I figure Corpus Christi to Las Cruces and some familiar roads north through New Mexico and Colorado, ending in a 3 day gas'n'go through the midwest to home.

any insights appreciated Dusty

The Host Hotel is the Motel 62 in Eureka Springs, AR.

The address is

3169 East Van Buren
Eureka Springs, AR 72632
Toll Free:
877-327-1080

The negotiated rate for our event is $49.00 per night. Please mention NASSIR so you can recieve this rate. I have got this rate locked in from July 7-14, 2012 so you can come early and stay later at an affordable price!

The motel website link: http://theeurekaspringsmotel.com/

Ok checked out the web site and I am curious about something and since you live in the area maybe you can clear it up.

Is there or is there not an area to test small explosvie devices out?:? I ask because I really dont want to be embarrassed like we were at NASSIR 4. Those west coast folks were a little high falutin for my tastes. I mean really it was only about what? maybe an 8th of a stick of dynamite and only in the heart of downtown. Gee whiz 5 cops :congrats: also I was surprised they didn't drop down a SWAT team. Silly West Coasters!!

Perhaps we can nominate someone else to pull the pin this year.....? I thought we were going to have a neighborhood brawl over a small depth charge detonation up there at Port Orchard. Rough crowd!

I mean, really. What are a few auto alarm activations and cracked windows in the big scheme of things??

                                                                  :D

I want to know about the device also!
Can I use a few to remove some of these larger MO. rocks from my yard, or at least shake them loose so I can move them?
I want about a 30'x40' hole in my yard. Well actually side of little hill, and digging it by hand is just too much work LOL

Anyone want to share a room at NASSIR this year?
I called hotel and they said all rooms have 2 beds. 2 People in a room is same price, $10 each person extra after 2 people.

I don't really need a giant room for just me by myself.
I'm planning to reserve a room soon if anyone wants to share.
Otherwise still debating camping again or not.
