We'll have more on this later, but I wanted to let everyone know that we raised a total of $1,000.00 through the auction and personal donations at Nassir2, all of which Steve donated to the Volunteers of America Meals on Wheels program in the Montrose Senior Citizens Center.

We went by the Montrose Senior Citizens Center yesterday, and Steve personally made the $1,000 presentation to the Volunteers of America Meals on Wheels program.

Thanks to each and every member and group who contributed to this fundraising effort. The auction was a lot of fun, and the proceeds went to a great cause.

Meals on Wheels is a fantastic program, which operates mostly on volunteer labor. It primarily benefits the elderly people who are homebound, and not always able to prepare meals for themselves.

We took lots of pictures, and there will be local newspaper coverage of the donation, so more info will be forthcoming.

You should all be very proud of this accomplishment. The Meals on Wheels folks were just tickled, and a thousand dollars will go a long ways for them.

Way to go!!  Wilton           :clapper:        :clapper:        :clapper:

That is an incredibly nice thing to do, handing over all the proceeds to the elderly. We will all be old some day and I say a big congratulations to all who took part. I wasn't there but I will make my yearly forum donation soon.

That is a great act of kindness indeed. It would have been easier to take the $1000 and keep it, but handing it to the old folks will do more good for the image of Goldwingers and bikers in general.

Thanks to your generosity, $1,000 went to this good cause. I think that Wilton and Cindy had a difficult choice as there are so many worthy causes, but I believe they made a very good decision.

Oh, that is EXCELLENT, you all...I thought you would take it home, for your favorite IRISH charity! :D (I meant the lads, not that Guiness thing!)

That's very good of you to do that. I'll remember that next trip, when you're hitting me up for funds, for YOUR side of the pond! :waving:

:bowing:

Well, it look like you guys got home OK. I know it feels good, cuz in the immortal words of Dorothy...."There's no place like home!"

It was a fun rally, and excellent to get to know you, Dylan, Fabienne, and Ciaran better. Thanks for sticking around the extra week. Dylan is an exceptional young man, and a natural rifleman.

Good choice in charities. I know there are several good ones out there.
Thanks to all that contributed.
