I DO, however, think that all you golden Canadians should vote for the dates that suit you, even if "you would come, anyway". You did a terrific job of showing up, for the last two, so yes, your vote is EARNED.

Just my "two pence" worth....MPete :waving:

PS- Poteen and Maple Syrup are welcome, and this year, I will budget, accordingly! PPS- I'll be there, unless I'm dead. If I AM dead, please save me a place at the table, because I'll be there, anyway! :dude:

DO NOT confuse Canadian Poutine with Irish Poteen:leprechaun:.

Poutine is french fries with cheese curds and gravy. Suicide with a fork.:cooldevil:

Okay, decided it is not necessary to combine a trip to Sturgis with this ride, so changed vote for July 6-8. Wife and I want to do a long trip this year, and taking off the 4th of July weekend works best for us.

Can I show up on my Valkyrie?

You can show up in a cage, as long as you show up.

If the members choose July 27-29th (Oshkosh week) for NASSIR 3, Wayne and I will not get to make NASSIR 3 due to both of us having to work all week in Oshkosh. :(    I know other members will get knocked out of NASSIR 3 as well because of Oshkosh.

It is a democracy............the members can pick the dates and what every the majority chooses will be the date. But I sure hope another date is chosen. I know Wayne, I, and others would sure like to be in NY for NASSIR 3! :cooldevil:

Bill (flyone) and I (wgj46) are hoping that the dates are not during the period July 27 - Aug 1 as we will be working at the Annual OSHKOSH Aviation event that week. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I do not want to miss NASSIR 3 when the event is within a few hours of my house.

Any place , any where around the 4th of July will be crowded and still on holiday rates. We're not the only ones that think about combining holidays with vacation time.

I would really like to make this rally so I voted for the early dates in August. We are going to the New England area this year for vacation and that would be on our way out so it would be a good fit for us. The later date in August would work fine too. Really don't want to be traveling that far on the 4th of July. We have before and the traffic is horrible and finding places to stay is iffy. For those of us who have to travel half way across the country, or more for some, a holiday in the middle sucks! Just my 2-cents worth.

I would also like to see this week avoided, as I would like to visit Oshkosh and see the aviation show there.  would be a waste to spend several kilobucks to attend NASSIR 3 and then have to miss OSHKOSH AVIATION WEEK.

I am also hoping to be able to make both events with one expenditure traveling cross country.

As was mentioned, in this part of the country the week which contains July 4th is going to be crowded anywhere we try to go. If that is chosen the hotel and camping reservations MUST be made very, very soon.

Then there is the problem of any ride-outs and tons of traffic everywhere we go, plus the points of interest will be crowded.

I will be there no matter which dates are chosen, just hope everyone has considered the situations we might encounter.
