bringing friends old and new together This has to be the worst kept secret of the year. After the success of the Irish Meet N Greet some of us have got together to organise another Meet N Greet for 2008, with a difference. This time its to be held in WALES, the weather will be much the same, no doubt, the jokes will be just as old, and some of the people attending will be slightly greyer. There is a twist to this event, it is hoped that through the wizardry of the WWW that we can make this an international event enabling those that have a GPS to be able to see what's happening from wherever it directs them, and allowing friends far away to join in some of the fun. The dates are undecided as we are awaiting the well known rallies, treffens and wingdings to publish their dates first so we do not cause a major clash. But favourite at the minute is the start of the school summer holidays next year. You can arrive anytime from the Thursday onwards and depart anytime thereafter, Silverfox is going to be on site with Tanygaer all that time. GeordieMuppet will join us as soon as school allows. A web site has been set up to allow you to express your interest, and offers you further information on this event. http://www.goldwing-riders.co.uk The organisers that's Tanygaer, GeordieMuppet and Silverfox all look forward to welcoming you at the event, we can promise a few surprises, plenty of fun and terrific scenery on the rideouts.. Sign Up NOW ! at http://www.goldwing-riders.co.uk signing up to the event does not commit you its just a good way to give us an indication of the likely numbers we need to plan for. Many thanks we look forward to seeing you.

May I be the first to congratulate Tan Y Gaer for given up his time, resources and (substantial) garden to make this happen. If we get half the members who turned up to Killarney, this will be an excellent event.

That sounds like fun. First event of 2008 in the bag as soon as dates are sorted. Will you be listing any B&Bs nearby? My ol' bones y'know. They prefer a softer lie down now Phil.

Hi Phil Yep as soon as the dates are nailed I'll be listing as many local B&B's as I can find, they are few and far between, until you get into Caernarfon which is about 9 miles or a £10 taxi fare. Other than that I can let the grass grow longer to give you a softer site ....

This event should really be very well attended, since Wexman will be in charge of getting the Irish Guys and Gals to attend. They seem to need little excuse to go to a shin dig, where ever it is to be held and for the rest of the UK members, there is pretty much no excuse, since there are nof ferries or planes to catch, just fuel up and ride, which is after all what our Wings are made for. Luckily for me, I shall not be suffering from additional greying of the hair by next year, since I already have a fine head of silver!!!! I should have made the journey at least once before the event, so anyone thinking of travelling up with us can rest easy that the GPS issues will have been resolved. (who knows, I might have one that actually workd by then!!!!) So the scene is set for a wicked weekend and it sounds like Tanygaer and family have a great location for the fun. The ride out sounds excellent, and if nothing else, we can amuse ourselves with trying to pronounce the place names!!! Right, I am off to bed now, to recover from the excellent weekend in Blackpool.

Dad says it would be alright for me to run 'gwersi cymraeg' (welsh lessons) in the evenings from 17:30 - 18:00 hrs, shall I book you in as my first pupil Pete. You should have been here a few times by the time the event is on so you'll be the star pupil .....
