Just as long as you aren't called Alan
Every layby on the road along the North Wales coast has a sign saying "Alan Out" don't think they like him very much

Dad says it would be alright for me to run 'gwersi cymraeg' (welsh lessons) in the evenings from 17:30 - 18:00 hrs, shall I book you in as my first pupil Pete.
You should have been here a few times by the time the event is on so you'll be the star pupil .....
Yes, you can sign me up for some language lessons, Miss Tanygaer, with your excellent grades, I am sure you are most suited as the teacher. I could probably benefit from some of your other successes too, since I didn't exactly excel at school.
If I could ask that we concentrate on some of the following phrases:
"Hello, my name's Silverfox, could you please show me where I am on this GPS machine?"
"Good morning, where is the full Welsh breakfast being served?"
"help!! where are the toilets please!!!?"
"good evening, where is the full Welsh supper being served?"
"Hello, can I interest you in a job lot of slightly used peach lipstick?"
The above should do for starters, and then we can concentrate on the heavy stuff later.
I shall rely on Helen the Viking to navigate us to your place and hopefully the journey will take less time than to and from Blackpool, which was horrendous this weekend, just gone.

My keyboard now needs cleaning after my first attempt to get my tongue round that lot!!!!
I have got the directions and put them into my GPS ( Good Place Safely)
I will of course be happy to pay Katie a few "groats", for the cleaning of the bike, but there should be no increase surely for a silver bike, and her being a good mate an' all!!!!
I am particularly intregued by the "common water" that Tanygaer talks of on the meet and greet site, is this common, as in, it gets used by everyone, in order of importance, or is it just water we have to collect from some village pond, newts and all?
I trust that the Hotel will be freshly mown before our arrival, after all, GM did that for me at his gaff, for Kelso.
Will I need a Hilti gun to get the pegs in through the slate, or is the grass nice and soft.
So many questions to address and so little time to prepare!!!!

All the English should learn this phrase and shout it loudly on their departure from the event.......
Rhaid i mi fynd nawr, ond os byddwch yn Lloegr rywbryd, bydd croeso cynnes i chi yn fy nghartref!
I must leave now but if you are ever in England my home and all its contents are at your disposal!

Just a quick question Tan, will this event be restricted to wings? Friends that we go camping with and could be interested, rides a Valk.

I will second that.
The wonderful thing about this site, is that there are no descriminations or elitism, I would suggest that if you are even remotely able to "think bike" and are interested in some good fun then this event is for you.
That said, if your friends Valk is as loud as Chippie 01's is, can you please warn me, so I can remember to pack my ear defenders!!!!
I am sure that with enough warning and planning, if there is anyone that wants to attend but hasn't even got a bike, then passenger seats could be offered by any solo riders, just as was done in Ireland for one or two.
On a serious note..... nah.... forget it.... I don't do serious I am afraid!!!!!

Have been discussing this event with Silverfox and Tan Y Gaer this evening and a couple of things come up which Tanygaer is not prepared to ask, being the gent he is, but I reckon they need asking: -
Tanygaer is providing the use of his land and I am sure has, is and will be putting a terrific amount of effort into making one weekend for us. On top of this, he is quite happy to pay from his own pocket for toilets, a party tent and no doubt other things to make this weekend a success.
I would propose to those members planning to attend that there should be a voluntary donation to cover these costs which should be calculated based on expected attendance nearer the time and that if there is a surplus then it should go into the forum kitty. Tanygaer was a bit uncomfortable about asking to share the costs (most noble of him) but he finds this solution acceptable.
Let us know what you think.
On another note, would those planning to attend be interested in a "Meet n Greet T shirt to mark the event?
I am thinking along the lines of a T shirt with an embroidered logo depicting a Welsh Dragon and a Leprchaun (or something else suitably Irish) with the wording "World Wide Wingnuts Meet n Greet. Tan Y Gaer 2008" or something similar?
If this is a go, I need someone to provide a design as a JPEG so I can get some prices.
On another note, we will of course, meet the Irish contingent from the ferries. We can't guarantee the foot and mouth, but we can provide the same disinfectant spray treatment we received as we landed on the shores of the Emerald Isle.

I think it is a good idea for T shirts and I also think that Tanygaer should be re embursed for the money he will be shelling out for the loos etc. I shall be happy to pay a fee to attend, so as to cover these costs.
No problem with meeting the Irish off the ferries, that will help me get there if they guide me!!!!
Interesting comment by Wexman, gives rise to speculation in the Foxy den!!!!
I see the numbers are swelling already, though one or two seem to have put 0 in the "number in party attending" that is interesting!!!!!
