It is with a very heavy heart that I have to inform you foks that I may not be able to come to Boscobel after all.
My younger brother David, 48 years old, past away in his sleep Sunday night in Everett Wa. It came as a complete shock to my family here. I'm having to use up some time off from work that I was going to use to make the trip to fly out to Washington state to take care of some legal matters and recover his personal effects.
I was really looking forward to the trip but my boss has already been more than generous with giving me time off and I don't want to take advantage of him. I've worked for him for 27 years so we're friends as well as him being my boss.
I hope that you have the time of your lives. Maybe something will happen to allow me to at least come up for a day but only time will tell.

Thanks everyone.
I haven't yet cancelled my reservations at the River Inn in the hope that maybe I'll still be able to come up. However, if and when I do, I will post here first to let the folks know that there will be a room coming available. And, if I do cancel, I will inform the motel that I wish for them to rent to one of you if at all possible.

| Hi, fairly new to the forum. Linda 05 GW and I 03 GW will be down on our bikes for at least part of the fun. I live in Merrimac, so we will probably not stay over night, but want to meet many of you. Look forward to it!!!

Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts. They are greatly appreciated.
We are slowly getting used to the fact.
Now, I have 1 room at the River Inn for Friday and Saturday that I'm going to have to cancel. I need to cancel this pretty soon so I don't get charged for it. I'm going to give it until this Monday and the first person to PM me gets first dibs on it as as soon as we communicate I'll call the motel and tell them I'm cancelling and there will be somebody named.....calling to reserve it. Or we'll work out something that rolls. Here's a link to the Inn:

Good to hear... Last year a few of us in the Mid-West would gather for day rides. It's good to find a few more members in the area
