I'm sorry to hear you can't make it Patch. You will be missed! :(

I had an idea, talked to mespock and he said no, however I think it is a good idea...

I was thinking we can bring items to have a silent auction type thing.. to help pay/tip the band.. Offset some of the costs to mespock... He has put alot of work into this.

I know somebody mentioned passing the hat type thing, just thought I might thow this out and see what others think

I'm feeling lucky, so I'll bet the $5.00 now.:cooldevil:

Curious, has anyone taken Hwy. 11 from Racine county to the west part of the state or vice versa? Will it take forever to get there?  I have all day Friday and am looking for a more scenic route and maybe stay off the freeway. I know I could take Hwy. 18 but I'd like to avoid Madison also.  I also may stop in New Glarus for a brewery tour if we have time.

I'll be away from the computer from Thursday 'till Monday, going up to the Twin Cities (unfortunately not on the 'Wing.)

Hwy 11 is pretty nice. You will want to head north before it hits hwy 61. US 61 is really rough from Dickyville to about 5 miles south of Fennimore.

Hwy 80 north out of Platteville is a nice ride from 80 you can head west on 18 or 133 or even cty hwy P

Oh and does the start time on the Poker Walk work for most of you?

OK If Digger is going to meet us in Dubuque we'll take that route.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=1600+Willow+66088&daddr=42.407235,-93.55957+to:boscobel+wi&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=7&via=1&sll=42.309815,-92.581787&sspn=2.689015,4.614258&ie=UTF8&ll=42.000325,-92.757568&spn=2.702193,4.614258&z=7

The plan is to be in Des Moines about 12 to meet up with a Lincoln friend of Mespocks and Trainertim77. Leave Des Moines around 12:30 That should put us in the Dubuque area about 4pm.

Ty

P.S. Digger - PM'd you about the auction idea - I am ALL for it

Hey the guy with the Mark VI Lincoln is no longer going to be making the trip.

So from what I know you don't have to meet up with him.

Just to let everyone know... If you are a person who enjoys a good beer don't pick up any along the way. We have a bunch of Breweries in WI and the Micro Brews are fantastic. Non of that water crap you get from Miller, Bush, or Coors.

Real Beer...
