Still workin on the Wife Helen.
If I can come up with the cash I would love to be there. The Wife is still getting used to me trying to meet all the people on the site.I guess she is gettin shy in her old age.I did offer up a donation to Cyote61 to help out with the costs even if I don't make it.
BTW Anybody given any thoughts to my earlier post about footin the bill for Steve's flight to entice him over here.A few bucks each would probably do it.

Damn, that money thing is a bitch Chris and I totally understand but here goes anyway....
Dear Mrs Fatwing,
It would give Silverfox & me (and I'm sure many others from this great Forum) the greatest of pleasure to meet you and your hubby at the bequeath of Cyote61 and his very generous offer to allow us all to meet at his place.
I'm sure the trip down would be quite magnificent however you might travel. You could treat it as hubby's future Birthdays all rolled into one (that's what I'm doing to Silverfox ).
You can't have too many friends especially as we are all getting older ( perhaps I should cut that bit!!). Anyway, it would be really great to see you if you can possibly make it.
Fond regards,
Helen
BTW, we look like the best bet for bringing in some duty free alcohol, does anyone know what the allowances are?

Helen, just remember that a case of Goldwing Ale will significantly reduce your luggage weight allowance . Oh! and that comment of yours about 'friends and getting older'............is that a dig at us already old senior citizens?

And your not old Dennis, just a little weathered

Congrats Coyote61, looks like its a done deal . As for my self I have added that date to my calender and just hope that my "old, new" wing is up for that trip. I have done wore out three printers trying to figure out the best route for us to get there. Its just a little over 900 miles but thats not bad to met and visit with some of the wonderful people whom I've had the pleasure of chatting with in here. If things work out we will do our best to be there.

Great. If you decide to just take the fast route then just come interstate up to Birmingham and I'll tell you the back way in from there. Easy shortcut. If you want the secenic route then you have a lot too choose from.

I have spoken with the head bartender Bill and he assures me your reservation will be taken care at the bar. He also has assured me that he has ordered in an extra supply of jumbo olives so you don't have to carry your own.

Helen the Viking has come up trumps and found some "Air Miles" that she has been aquiring when using a particular credit card of hers, so we are hoping to save a few bob on the flights now, thus leaving us with a little spending money, so we can at least afford beans on toast for three weeks!!!!
The other upside is that BA would be our airline then and they go from our local airport, Gatwick.
I knew it was best to leave it in her hands to arrange things, she is so much better at that stuff than me!!!!
