Hey Bill, should I ride the slow bike or the hot rod when you come?

PS_______________ When it comes to the fastest color, all bikes are slow when you come up against the cyote's Valkyrie. Suck on that, Redwing.:P

If you are riding back with me..........The slow one (RSV) cause I want to look around and smell the fresh air!

If you are NOT riding back with me, the fast one so that I can catch you when you have to stop for fuel cause I have a bigger.............well you know, gas tank!!:cheeky1:

Here's a different question.

I am presented with an impossible imponderable.

I just learnt today that I have drawn an elk tag for this fall, I applied so long back I had almost forgotten about it.

The rub is, the season is right slap bang in the middle of NASSIR, so what do I do?

Ride or hunt elk, it's quite a few years since I drew a tag, and will likely be a few more for the next one.

But NASSIR promises to be one of a kind.

Talk about horns of a dilemma:baffled::baffled::baffled::baffled::baffled::baffled:

It's quite simple, English Bob- shoot the Elk, in the first 5 minutes of the season, strap it to the passenger/pillion, and bring it on down, to Georgia....we meat-eaters will happily skin it and roast it on a spit, for you.......:cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:

Yes, it IS a dilema, all joking aside....we will understand, whatever you decide....well, I will....can't speak for the other blokes! :dude:

At the moment I am working on the logistics of having the best of both worlds. There is also the late season, but experience tells me that it's hard to find the beasts on my land once the snow flies.

I have time to ruminate on it.

BTW GL1800s are good but 700lbs of elk would make one hell of a passenger, outweighs the wife by a bit:cheeky1:

I'm very glad to hear about that last part! :cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:

Well, could you just-

a) slice off the best bits, and pack 'em in ice, say, a tail trunk/top box worth? :dude:

b) have you considered a trailer? :baffled: :cooldevil:

Ok, I guess I'm going to have to make it a point to get to Calhoun this September. Just give me enough room to pitch my tent and set up my camp stove. Ther's a lot of folks on here that are going to it and it will be the best time to meet a lot of you that are coming from out west and the north that don't normally get out this way.

I hope to have some gel pads for the missus and me by then as our boney hinnies can't take more than 250 miles a day now. Now don't give me a hard time about the faded paint on my poor old 1100, summer's for riding, not waiting for paint to dry. Painting can wait till winter. ;)

Ok, how much of a donation is it gonna cost me to get in the gate?

Glad to h ear you're going to make it.

You can easily trick us on the faded paint issue. Just prior to heading for Calhoun, apply a thin coat of future liquid floor polish.

Makes the paint look like glass (seriously).

See you in Calhoun:waving:

Cyote, My wife and I will plan on coming to Ga, me on my Wing and she on her 1980 XS1100 Yamaha. We will plan on camping, and will bring a small stove, if that's cool. Any other location would have to be somewhere on the east coast to mid-west kind of thing. Actually, anywhere within 1000 miles of Myrtle Beach would be ok with us, as long as we can escape the madness of here for a few days!
