OK Nothing official for me - but I am starting the begging and pleading stage of trying to plan for this trip.
I beg the wife and plead with my boss and if I can get both of them to say yes well look out Georgia!

I thought you wanted him to attend? Your suggestion is likely to get him grounded.

I don't know what all is planned, but here is something that maybe a day ride could be done. It may give some a chance to see it that may not be back this way
Map
Place
I have a name and number to call for discounts for a group.
Just a thought!!

I need the scoop on how easy/difficult it is to fly to Calhoun.
This would have to be in an airplane, before any smarty-pants asks how big my wings are.

Either Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, or Huntsville......unless your flying your own plane, they may have a private airport there.
Atlanta would probably be your best bet. I think that's where Silverfox and some of the across the pond members are flying in to.

Good Lord..............you have an 1800..............the ultimate touring machine.
it's only 2441 kms from Winnipeg to Calhoun..............ride man............ride.
From London Ontario, the way we're going is 1700 kms.
I guess the main thing is that you can attend but I could resist daring you to ride ride ride ride

I would have to agree with you there!!!!!! I rather pay more for the flight and fly out of Birmingham than drive to Atlanta, save some bucks, but have to put up with that MESS!!!!!

I take it you are still wrestling with the hunting/rally issue. Did you get your Elk tag?

Calhoun, GA?
Almost in my backyard! I'm new to this forum but I'm now planning on being there at least for one day.
Looking forward to it.
Later

Yeah, got me a tag, and I figure if I flew to Calhoun and back then a quick 250 mi drive and I probably wouldn't miss more than one day of the season.
I have the biggest elk herd for miles around quartered on my land, and my neighbours know it. If they figure out I am not going to be there, it'll be open season on my property and four or five days late will be much too late.
Mind you, the goldarned govt heli has been chasing them all over for the last month, bloody spoilsports.
