As it looks for now, I'm off work Sept 24th through the 28.  So I will be departing Little Rock on the 24th, time to be detirmined depending if anyone wants to travel along eastward.  Hopefully, early enough that I can make it to the Half Fork Bar and Grill, in time to get my tent set up away from the cow pattys and fire ant hills and have a drink of something before dark.  So, if anyone is passing thru Little Rock on the way to GA, give me a pm, and maybe we can hook up on the trip.:D  Unfortunately, to make the best time, I will be limited to staying mostly on the interstate on the trip.:(

The weather in Calhoun should be pretty good that time of year.  At the moment in the South East we are having extreeme heat and heavy rain and thunderstorms daily.  Temps hit over 100 degrees daily...around 2 or 3 p.m.  The humidity is the killer, the air is so heavy you can cut it with a knife.

Generally the last part of September and into the first two weeks of October......it does let up a bit.......the nights get cooler......the mornings are very nice.......it will still get up to 85 degrees......but it does settle down.......and this awful heat starts to let up a bit.

By the way......I just ride between the rain drops........never get wet......I think all of you need to set up the cones and practice a bit;)  Kit

I've already spoken with Regina at the Country Inn in Calhoun.

She's assured me that they'll install an extra large air conditioning unit in Silverfox's room. At least that way, part of the Hotel will stay cool :dude::D
