Maybe I can hook up with the W.V. boy along the way and drag him along with me!

Hi Nightwizard,

That's very nice of you but have you got a side car fitted and a BIG trailer to carry all my luggage, we would be looking to be in the USA for 3 weeks? - that's alot of luggage!! :cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:

Tom, I see you have some very big "T towels" hanging on the wall, that must mean you have a lot of washing up needs doing, which will keep all these fellas busy whilst Helen reclines in the chair!!! :cheeky1::cheeky1:

I shall do my best to condense our kit into two saddle bag liners and one tour box liner, so whilst Helen is pouring over th atlas and looking for the cheapest flights out, I shall be investigating the options for bike hire for the 2-3 weeks trip. :D:D

I am sure we can find some space in the luggage for  Helen's bikini and my Speedos!!!!:shock:

Don't know what all the fuss is about over 6000 mile trip, we will be doing about that and no problem in doing that in about 8 hours or so. Does anyone remember what drugs they used to use in the A Team, to put Mr T out for flying, only being smokers we will be tearing our hair out on that long a flight!!!! :cheeky1::cheeky1:

Exavid.....??? :D Long way I know :weightlifter:

I'd already PM'd Jluvs2dive about the idea. I'm game if weather and finances prove out. It's not much farther to ride than my usual summer road trips. If the money and health hold out sounds like a possibility. It's difficult to commit that far ahead but I'm sure hoping I might be able to make it.

That's great and my fingers & toes are crossed for all of you that cannot be totally sure yet.

It would be so lovely to get to meet as many of you guys over there as possible, even Rudy :cheeky1::cheeky1:.  I wouldn't go as far to say that it would be our only chance but it would probably be a long time before we could afford to come back again. :waving:

With everyone sitting in those nice chairs.  Who is going to be doing all the maintenance work on my bike after the ride? I figured about 600 miles one way there.  Talked to the wife yesterday afternoon, and she says why not!! That surprised me a little. I just need to get some vacation time changed around to the end of summer. Also need to get some ride time in for the wife.  She will be riding her new Aero 750 there.  And she has never riden that far on her own bike.  She will ride hers on a 200 mile run. Longer she normally rides with me.  She says shes riding hers to Georgia.  Who is going from this area?   Illinois,Iowa, Wisconsin.

Cyote has plenty of room in that area.  Who says I can't work on your 1500 from the chair? :grinner:

Wow, this really looks like it is getting off the ground. Would love to join you guys, but it simply isn't possible this year, maybe 2009 or 2010????

However, be warned, letting the Forum Diplomat in could set Diplomatic relations between our two countries back a couple of thousand years, regardless of our favoured nation status.

Foxy on the loose in Georgia will make the Boston Tea Party look like.....well, a tea party by comparison. :cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:

I'm in Wisconsin.  I may be heading out a few days earlier though because I'm going to W.V.

I may switch it around and stop in W.V. on the way back though.
