Booked it today... Did it online and dont know if any discount will apply since I booked a suite instead of a regular room... Doesnt really matter though, Add me and Mrs. LP to your list... See you all there.  PM sent as well

Nice people??? Oh hell.... I didnt know the country inn was for nice people..... I guess that means I'll have to cancel and go to the Hampton inn instead... .... Somedays I can pass for a "nice person" ... But theres no way they'll put up with Mrs LP

I told the Mrs. that I was kind of planning to go to GA this fall and I was VERY pleasantly surprised to hear her say she wanted to come along. She doesn't ride with me very often so this is a nice bonus. The only catch is that we have to stop in Cherokee, NC on the way back so she can support Harrah's. (Note: I hate that place!)
No rooms left at Country Inn if you go through Expedia. But I did call 706-625-6500 and booked a room for Friday the 26th.

glad you managed to get a room. Did they still give you the group rate despite the fact that we've exceeded our block of 20 rooms??
I'd asked them to honor the rate of $73.00 but haven't heard if they are or not.

Let me just say this much... I often kid her because when she gets to drinking, she's the only person I know ( short of some sailors) that can string the 'F' word together 4 times in a 5 word sentence.  ( Try as I might, I can only get 3 out of 5 ) And I'm sure shes been thrown out of worse places than the country inn She was raised by her father up in the mountains of VA with 4 older brothers so she's learned to be a pretty tough cookie and be able to run with the boys. ...I swear that every story her father tells starts with " we were drunk when"... so shes been around hell raising good old boys since she learned to walk.
She's a sweetheart, but she's a charactor too
