I've met the young lass and while she probably only beat up Patch I have no doubt she could have taken everyone present!

She does enjoy torturing poor Chris though.  :fighting:

Sounds like KANWINGS 2 ride has been established!! :clapper:Homebrew....It's on now!!! The Ozarks will never be the same!!!

But wait a cotton pickin' minute.............We got to get KANWINGS 1 ride this Saturday under our Wings!!! :bat:

Here it is.........KANWINGS 1 (Inaugural and 1st Official Ride :D)

The map please.....drum roll...........(Thank you johnmac!) :clapper:

Attached Image (viewed 26 times):

We will have riders from the North and South meeting up for this run.

The Northern Riders meet at the Log Cabin Gas Station on K-4 (Yes Popeye, Sharon is right..it is a sunflower! :cheeky1:) in Meriden, KS at 11:30 am.

The Southern Riders will meet at Presto Gas Station located at the intersection of Andover Road/Kellogg (US 54) in Andover, KS at 8:00 am. The Southern Riders will travel approx. 150 miles NE to the Log Cabin Gas Station in Meriden to meet up with the Northern Riders for some great times and a wonderful ride. :cooldevil:

I'm not big into rules and formality just having good, clean, safe fun but I want to have some guidelines with as many wings that said they are coming and a lot of us haven't rode together before so the goal is to be a fun, safe but uneventful ride..........:gunhead:

Once we are all together in Meriden, KS................

johnmac, I would like for you to lead this ride because this is really in your neck of the woods, you know the area, and planned the route. (CB equipped as well) :action:

For safety reasons, we need to have all the wings together but ride in a staggered pattern and give each other a bike length or two for the unexpected. We don't want some wings trading paint, but also not strung out for miles and miles. We also don't want Barney and his one bullet chasing us either so please try to maintain speed limits if at all possible.

As George Bush has said.."Leave no child (bike) behind" therefore Popeye, I would like for you to bring up the rear of the pack. You also have knowledge of the area and you are also CB equipped for communication with johnmac.

The rest of us (especially me) will ride in the middle because we do not know the area and it would be like the blind leading the blind!!

We will probably get a quick snack at the Log Cabin gas station before we leave and I will leave the formal stops for eating a meal, p -breaks etc. to johnmac as he knows the route.

I recommend everyone top off before the ride begins.....especially the Southern Riders but you are big boys and girls......you can handle your own fuel management!!  I believe you've done that before!!!

Flyone will be leading the Southern Riders from Andover to Meriden.

OK, with all that said.....the organizer's hat just came off. I can't wait for this weekend. :coollep: :jumper:

Tybme - Call me so we can figure out when and where to meet up on the way up to Meriden.

This official message has been brought to you by Joe's Crab Shack...........

Remember, "Diamonds are forever, but women never forget crabs!" :dude:

Dont' forget to bring your cameras!! I will also post a new thread to announce the ride for anybody else who happens to miss the offical message here with all of our smack talking! :D

See everyone Saturday!!!! :3sum:

Ok I'm gonna be nice and not say the first 5 things that popped into my head

However the 6th thing that popped into my head, for you all looking it up on your gps, it's spelled Meriden. :dude:

The first five were pretty damn funny though! :cooldevil:

Hey Bill,

I call you back tomorrow for sure but I think I'll plan on meeting you all at the Emporia rest stop. I took a look at the map and that will work for me. If I remember correctly that is a planned pit stop for the southern riders.

Can you figure when you all will be in that area so I can plan my escape from here?

Anyone want to meet me there to escort our southern brothers(and sisters) around Topeka and into Meriden? If not I hope we'll see you in Meriden at 11:30.

Ty

Ty, take a look again..........I don't think there is a rest area on the turnpike near Emporia..........You may just have to get off the southbound side and return to the northbound side and we can meet you there. Just call me and we can make the plan. The contruction around the I35/I335 interchange is crazy, it might be better for us to meet on the turnpike. Just a thought..................
