Ah yes....sorry Pete; I'd forgotten (for certain) that it was yourself and Helen, who got dinged/stitched up last summer, with the Irish ferries....
I realise they have a captive audience, but that seems pretty spendy mate....there must be a better rate/option? I certainly hope so!
Redwing- I had a "right good chuckle" over your pic! Shouldn't the "fastest colour" come with water wings (or is that water Wings?) I've always wanted to ride to the UK or Europe but a) the ice is melting, so studded tyres are no good, and b) my snorkel is too short. Dang....I sure hate a short snorkel! I need to consult Jluvs2dive; he'll surely have a solution!

Do they accept trailers on bikes and if so, do we have to phone up for a rate or are they definately free?
I could not do a booking into 2009 so I did a June date and it seems it is around £118 for a return crossing, is that about the going rate?
Hi Silverfox
I will pop down to the sea termanal and get an answer.

You wheren´t looking close enough at Steam, under Standard fees it reads:
3 Wheeler + 1 (3 wheeled vehicles inc combinations/motortrikes) plus driver
and if you can´t count a bike+trailer as a combination the royal english dictionary should go in the channel.

Nice one Jocke, typical that it should take a Swede to sort the mess out!!!
I do hope that the port authorities see it the same way and let's hope MBC doesn't try to sway them by breaking into song!!!

News from the Ferry company, 'Steam Packet company'
Bike and trailer, is classed a bike,
Trike as bike and side car.
Nearer the time I will get a code for the bookings to insure best rates.
