I shall be The organiser and point of contact.
We have made provisional arrangements with a local football club in Douglas, complete with Toilets, showers etc.
Royce has approached the Local new Honda dealer for some support.
Thanks geordiemuppet, Sounds like 14th-17th August 2009 is favourable.
Royce is in hospital this week, I will speak to Royce next week and with any more suggestions we should be able to fix the date.
The obligatory Tee shirts will be on sale.
As soon as the date is fixed I shall make further contact with The Steam Packet re code and fixed prices for the bikes and passangers.
All early feed back would be most welcome.

Back out of Hospital, all clear hopefully. Ready to assist MBC with arrangements etc.

This all sounds great as a well planned and executed event on the Island.
Good to know that you are back safe and sound Royce, you are after all a mainstay of the huge Goldwing organisation out there on the IOM.
Dates put forward, whilst not being ideal for us, will be fine, and a must for those with offspring who will attend.
Hope you guys can work out a deal with the ferry company, it would be good to procure a discount for the group attending.

Info from The Irish Goldwing site and the Irish treffen date for this year, so next years 2009 event will probably be around the same time
This years event will be held on August 14th-17th.

MGP 2009 22 August - 4 September
It starts a week later
The MGP this year Starts on the 16th August for two weeks this year
next year practice week should start on the 22nd,
Even the w/e 22nd should not be out of the question as it is only practice on the sat evening 6pm then the Monday evening 6pm, very few bikers come over that w/e.
For those would come over for the TT the steam packet offer up to £100 off the MGP trip if you have traveled over on the boat at TT, proof of sailing are required in your name.

Happy to bow out if I thought you could attend, but knowing that you will not be able to, I think if it is alright, I will keep my name on the list for now.
