Remember during one of our "unofficial" rides we met a brand new winger in Madison, KS at the gas station?? He had the 84 Aspy and had just got it and we all helped him by answering questions and showing him how to get the bike on the centerstand?
Well, I was on the new members introduction thread and he has joined our forum. His name is rascal62 and I pm'ed him and invited him to our "little" ride!
He is asking me where he can meet up with us so I think he is in. I asked him to call me so we can figure out where he can meet us. I don't know where he lives! I'll update the headcount when I confirm he is in.
I remember the guy at the Lyndon, KS gas station...who was just mindin'-his-own-business. But Flyone saw 'fresh-meat' & was on him like white-on-rice...recruiting the poor guy [I think I saw money switch hands & words about a registration fee & dues...but I'm not positive].
That was on 75, S of the 'pike, so he'll prob meet you guys at Emporia...the last & only stop before Meriden, KS...or at exit 182 off the 'pike (the second & last Topeka exit).

What is the deal Popeye??? You make me sound like a used car salesman!!! (not that there's anything wrong with that......I'm in sales, but it involves airplanes, not cars! )
Well the registration fee and dues have changed hands, and rascal62 that we meet on one of our "unofficial" practice rides, has called me tonight and will be going on the ride with us. He actually lives in Piedmont which is east of Andover so he will be riding up with the "Southern" riders!!!
The North and South will meet and let the games begin!!!
Official Head Count now stands at drum roll please.............................................
19 People and 14 bikes!!

19 People and 14 bikes!!
Bring it on I'm gonna be ready for all of ya!
Planned menu is........ (drum roll please)
Pulled pork (sandwiches)
Hamburgers
Hot dogs
Coleslaw
Potato salad
Macaroni salad
Deviled eggs
Chips
Cold drinks
Coffee
If anyone has any special dietary needs speak up, I can make adjustments to the dishes and it won't be a problem.
Make sure to check back to this thread Saturday night, I'll post any last minute details (like parking areas, and what not)
P.S. by the way does anyone have a free back seat that wouldn't mind a rider?
I haven't asked her yet but I was thinking of seeing if my wife wants to come along. She doesn't ride with me much but she might get into it.

WOW, I sure didn't expect such a feast. After a meal like that I'll need a 2 hr nap...after curlin' one.
It looks like 8 bikes have room for Mrs. Ty...C'mon guys, let's cough up a designated seat for her !!!
KANWINGS 1... Inaugural and 1st Official Ride Sun 05-18-08
Remember your camera with good batteries we'll be going through areas with tress 200 feet above us on the bluffs [providing shade] with the MO River on the right...on a great road squeezing in between...then....
