For those who travel in the Kansas area I am planning on going to Guy and Mae's in Williamsburg, KS this Saturday the 31st. Some of the best ribs in the state.
http://local.yahoo.com/details?id=17918712
Nothing formal just a place to meet and have a snack (though as good as their ribs are I will probably hall some home for dinner too!)
From the informal discussions I have had so far, between 3 and 4pm seems like the best time. This would also work well as that time of day they should not be as busy and this place can get very busy.
So if you would like to come, send a reply and maybe you can meet up with someone from your area and ride in.
I am thinking I will go take a spin down this road afterwards.
http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/ks31.html
It is a recommended riding road in the Osage area of Kansas.
Hope to see you there Saturday!
Ty

Mrs. Flyone and I are trying to work this out.............Keri has a Taekwondo tournament in Lenexa on Saturday and I'm trying to get more information on times as I also will be bringing cloud9's 1500 back home to him and get my pickup from him.
So long story short.............We are trying to be in!! It will definately have to be dinner for us as Keri will be kicking butt during the morning and early afternoon but we are trying to figure out when she will be finished so we can go!!
The only thing I'm trying to figure out is how to get both wings up there and the pickup back to Andover!!
Hope to see all of you on Saturday!!

Bill;
I'm good to meet in Williamsburgh around 5 p.m. if that makes it doable for everyone.
Even Sunday would be okay for us.
NOAA shows good weather either way:
Saturday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 86.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.

Just an FYI.
Guy and Mae's is not open on Sunday.
5pm may put us into the dinner crowd making it alot harder for us to get in and get something ordered.
Just my .02 worth I'm open to about anything.

Sharon has to work until noon......real work...landscaping, digging, raking, etc. Then home & shower, chill a bit. Don't know what time she'll be ready to ride.
Maybe an alternate plan for Sunday...IF ANYONE IS AVAILABLE ???

Saw that myself Patch! Was thinking of putting a BBQ tour together at some time
Saturday isn't looking very good for too many people. Does anyone have a suggestion for Sunday?

Well Poop!!!!!!
I'm in Wamego, and grew up in Williamsburg! I'd love to go, but I'm facing hip surgery and can't even look at the bike.
FYI- G&M is a family owned place. Well last year apparently there was a big family blow out and Steve that used to be one of the main cooks for the past 20 years left to start his own joint.
Now he and his wife have their own rib place in Pomona about 10 miles up the road. So part of the staff went with him. I've not been there to try it out, but my mom said that the new place is expensive and not near as good as the original place!
Wish I could go! In fact I wish I could ride at all. I may try to sneak in some short ones before I actually get cut on!

Howdy smocksam. You can always bring the cage & just join in......& carry our extra stuff.
We have the best group of folks you could imagine, & then some....riding is good, too.

I love the idea but it won't work for Saturday for me as far as riding. I will be riding Saturday , but I will be bringing cloud9's ride back home to his stable and retrieving my pickup from him . That does not mean we can't meet everyone for dinner in Williamsburgh though, Mrs. Flyone and myself will just be bringing home two cages.
I would be able to ride my Wing Sunday after 11:00am to Salina for a burger.
I cannot speak for cloud9 but I will talk to him to set up a meeting place on Saturday morning to swap vehicles but I think he and Dusty are planning to do BBQ Saturday afternoon as well.
I will call him tonight to confirm and tell him to post.
As of a hour ago, Patch is planning to ride up with me on his Wing and watch Keri kick somebody else's butt at the TKD Tourney in Lenexa. The Flyone family (including my legitamate son, Patch ) will be ready to eat if the TKD Tourney schedule holds true between at or about 5:00 pm
