Day 10: 2,171 miles Came to Cyote61's humble abode in Calhoun, GA where NASSIR is going to be held. I am now so excited about coming here in September as this place is amazing!! The pictures do not do it's justice! so NO pictures today. Dropped Keri off with Mrs. Flyone in Atlanta and they are heading to Grandma's house in Southern Alabama. So I'm thinking that Flyone is "lone wolf' back across the country when I'm suprised by Cyote61 saying that he wants to go back to Kansas with me to visit and check on some of his property. Needless to say, this will be a great ride back to Kansas. He will show me a new route that will also shave off about a 100 miles and also be more scenic that the I-70 route from St. Louis to Kansas City so I am ready to go. Plan on ending up in Springfield, MO through Ft. Scott around Sunday lunch (Tom wants to show me all the good places to eat along the way) and come to my place for the night before visiting friends and checking on his property in Arkansas. This is the plan if the weather holds out. Can wait to see everybody once I get back! Hey all you KANWINGers, I got the word straight from the horses mouth, well from Flyone's mouth anyway. Flyone and Cyote61 will be heading back to Wichita and will be making a stop in Fort Scott for some lunch. I was considering riding out to Fort Scott and meeting them for lunch on Sunday and then riding back into Wichita with them. Anyone Game???? Flyone is to call me later today (Saturday) and give me the details of about when they expect to be in Fort Scott. If you are interested in riding out and meeting them, keep a watchful eye right here and I will post the details later on today. Hope I get a few takers on this one!

Patch i would love to , but i hae cloud nine down for timing belts and break rotor and yadda yadda yadda, don't have all the parts in yet bummer!what do you know about the trailer??

Just heard from Flyone and Cyote61. They are in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. They are planning on being in Fort Scott at about 2 pm for lunch. If anyone want's to ride out for lunch and then join them on therir last leg of their journey to Wichita, please let me know.

Nice Rodger....makes me wish my black-on-black bike needed painting. Patch, good idea to meet Bill, but I have bike wiring pulled...[2nd trunk] for a trip to the Rockies on Wed to.....

Day 11 or 12 (Who knows at this point??) 2,650 miles on the clock............ Tom (Cyote61) and I are down safe at Poplar Springs, MO. We lucked out!!! After 475 miles, we decided to hang it up for the night. We must be living right..........We could have gone to Springfield, MO (as there is isn't much between here and there) and we would have run into severe thunderstorms!! We found this out on line after we checked into the motel!  They are having damaging hail that we would have run into.  We look forward to seeing everyone who can make it to Ft. Scott, KS on Sunday afternoon around 2 pm.  It will be great to ride back to Kansas with people who I consider family!!  The name of the great mexican food place is El Charro on 2 South Main Street in Ft. Scott. It is located on the west side of the street in the main drag of town. Tom says "You can't miss it!" See you tomorrow! OK, here is my grand master plan. I have to go in and work in the mornign to keep our schedule some what on track. I am going in at 6 am and will work until 10 am. I will then go down the road and pick up the bike and anyone that wants to ride will need to meet me in the Kmart parking lot at 47th Street south and Broadway between 1045 and 11 am. This will give us 3 hours to make the trip to Fort Scott. If there is anyone along the way that wants to join us, send me a PM with your phone number and I will call you when we leave so you will know when to expect us along the route.

you're making me remember all the trips we took with our kids..... dang I am getting old.... but quality time with your children PRICELESS! it is the differnece between kids who love their parents... and well, the big L

I was coming across the country today about the 200 mile point and was thinking about what it must of been like riding across the country with two up and two kids in a sidecar like you and Beth did!!! I know Keri had a great time and hopefully memories were made
