It's a wonder it didn't fall apart after that smell you let out on I-135 a few hours ago on the way to Hesston.

Wow looks great Rodger! What's your hourly rate?;)

Hey everyone Unkle Mark will be coming through Kansas from West Virginia on Saturday. I am currently planning on meeting him just outside KC and riding with him into Wamego, KS with a stop at Maple Hill, KS for lunch at Puffy's Steak and Ice House. Puffy's has won numerous awards for their steaks and their prices are resonable.
Unkle Mark is going into Wamego to visit the Wizard of OZ museum.

I would love to provide Unkle Mark with a memorable KANWINGs escort so who can make it?

I just heard Patch's PC crashed & he lost all his info....did he take it in for a dead-drive recovery [I think Best Buy will do it for $100 + cost of new HDD].

My old laptop died last Winter & I need to take it in for data recovery & get my 20 GB of files/pics/etc., on discs, to put on this new one...which is backed up, this time.

Ok Unkle Mark ran into problems this morning east of Saint Louis. He was able to get everything taken care of but by the time he got back on the road and through STL he had lost most of the day. He is currently planning on staying in KC over night and still hopes to catch up with whoever can make it Sunday morning.
I am planning on talking to him after he stops for the night and will be able to lay out more solid details then but I think we currently are going to try and make it to Maple Hill. KS for lunch at Puffy's steak and ice house and I believe he would still like to stop in Wamego, KS at the wizard of oz museum.

I am guessing here but I would put him in the Topeka area around 10am, Maple Hill about 11ish for lunch and Wamego around 1.

I will update after I talk to him later tonight.

Give me a PM or call if you think you can make it.

Don't ever take a hard drive to Bestbuy for recovery!! They will lose all your data! I'm in the business and data recovery is complicated at times. Now if the drive will spin up I can usually pull every thing off it by making a complete image of the drive first then pulling the data from the image.

I also have a tech friend up near Bloomington IL that can rebulid a bad drive and pull the data off the platters bit-by-bit but it'll cost ya. He did a lot of recoveries right after Katrina.
