Glad everybody made it home safe, I think the only close call during everybody's trip I think was my encounter with a deer on US400!  (Yes, we came back solo bike after breakfast due to another engagement) but who would have thought deer would be out when the wind was blowing hard??? I thought they would be bedded down staying out of the wind!  Glad no evasive action was taken!  No runs, drips, or errors.Thanks to everybody for a great time as always!

and I know this sounds hard to believe... but as soon as we crossed into Oklahoma the wind stopped, the temperature was a balmy 75o  I am not sure I know what to do with a passenger behind me

Patch and I last night figured out how many rides KANWINGS since we started.  This is how the numbering system works so we know how many rides we do a year and keep track. The big, long, major rides will have there own number. (example: KANWINGS 1, [The KS, NE, and MO trip] KANWINGS 2,[The Ozark Mountains trip in October] KANWINGS 3 [Grand Canyon??] etc. etc.) The get togethers and smaller rides will be a decimal to the last major ride. (example: KANWINGS 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and so on)  The Fredonia trip was KANWINGS 1.9! (which means we have done 10 rides to this point).It will be interesting to see how many rides we get in during a year period and the friends made along the way! I would like to see our trips cover the state so that everyone can participate. For example, we don't want to do everything south so that folks like johnmac and anybody else who wants to come to have a hard time being able to get there. So suggestions for rides are more than welcome and we'll do it as this is what KANWINGS is all about!  My friend Tony and his group really enjoyed riding with us (silly, silly man! ) and said they have a place they would like for us to go for breakfast sometime. I just hope it doesn't involve huge B&G's!  We had our largest group ever Sunday..........21 people ate with us! No food was thrown, and the restaurant wasn't damaged in anyway, and Patch may just have picked up a date out of it as well!!! You're right Popeye! They told me that they've never had a motorcycle group meet there before and they would love for us to come back. I'm not sure they didn't know if we were going to tear the place down or what! I also thought it was nice of them not to charge us for our drinks being we were such a large group. I'm not sure they have had that size of a group before but they did a great job and didn't run out of food! Their gestures really showed they appreciated us. Thanks for posting the picture to prove we didn't tear the place down and freonrick would have to go back and remodel the whole place!!

Sounds like I missed a really good time. I don't know that I could have made it though - that concert kicked the crap out of me.  I'm getting to old for those things anymore, but at least my 16 year old had fun and it's always good to see her smile ear to ear. I don't know if this deserves a designation number but this Sunday one of our Pennsylvania brothers will be coming through KC into Topeka and staying the night. There are a few threads about it but here is the most recent one. Sorry I did not get to go on the ride. My wife was taking her motorcycle training in hutch and I had the kids. Good news I see a new bike in my future. Bad news SHE won't let me ride it. (or probably touch after some of my I'll fix it fiascos.)
