Lol, then you should go back to a Wing man.  Why have a bike you don't want to ride? ;)

As far as it being in Port Orchard, that's just the suggested gathering spot.  A fair amount of the time will be spent riding the wonderful areas of Western WA, like Hood Canal, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, etc. :action:

Heck, i am looking for a new seat, just got myself the bike last July-25th for my 9 year sobriety birthday. that badlander seat though is horrid on my butt. rode to everett, out to monroe then back here to Kent one day and i only started hurting on 405 southbound.

I love it, just want a little more cushion is all.

Price was right so i got it, $3995 with 0 miles on a fresh topend at Downtown Harley.

mountainman wrote: We would love to participate in your gathering but my vote would be to have it sometime in July , it may be a little bit dryer and warmer. Thank you for the invite and efforts on your part I know it takes a lot of work getting something like this going, we have been promoting a 9-11 Memorial ride from Colville wa. to Postfalls Id. for two years in a row with so much success that we have decided to make it an annual event. Last year we had about 200 riders this year we had about 400 riders, it was great.

Thanks.  The reason we're staying away from July is because the International meet & greet, NASSIR, is being held in the middle of July in Hamburg NY.  http://goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum14/  We wanted to keep away from those dates in case anyone wanted to attend both, and with the distance to and from NY, that means at least 5 days travel each direction.  Also, August on this side of the mountains tends to be one of the most reliable dry months.

Sounds like you got a good thing going there with the memorial ride. :clapper:  When does that ride take place?

Nice deal.  OK, so get a good seat then so you can get some saddle time in. :action:

Wayne.

I remember one of the Canadian forum members was talking about the different handling at the border depending on which bike he was on a few years ago.  Don't remember who it was, but he crossed on a regular basis for work.  When he was on his Wing, he went right through, when he was on his Harley, he got the business. :baffled:  I don't know why that one change would make the handling different, but I'm sure they have a good reason.:doh:

August would work for us too. As far as our :)9-11 Memorial Ride :)- next year it will be  Sept. 11th on a saturday. I hope to see more Wingers at this event though it is open to all bikes and classic cars. This years turnout was so encouraging that we have decided to make it an annual event, thanx to the American Legion in Postfalls Id. for receiving us and putting on a free barbecue and the Air Force band with the Honor Gaurd and Combat Veterans for their participation . Plans are being laid out for next years ride , I will put it in the Events cataqory probaly sometime in July

Nope, still waiting on people to vote, but it's looking like the first or second weekend of August at this point.
