Here's one of the original comments about the 4th WCWJAMR. Jluvs2dive wrote: 83GoldWinger wrote: I propose we get a poll started to select a date. We'll ask The Wexmeister to sticky this (thats different than asking him to stick it... The general idea is a quiet little meet and greet. Day rides and night campfires (hopefully). Simple, uncomplicated, and fun. This will likely be a fairly unstructured event, ie. no planned dances, ritual sacrifices, dinners, slow ride contests, or mud wrestling. Just spur of the moment day rides, evening time together, and such. Just a loose knit, good time. Pick one! Well I would pick august 13-15 only for the reason that the first week of August is already tied up with SeaFair. You can check out http://www.seafair.com to see what that is all about. Marty

To answer the original question, here's a link to show you where Port Orchard Washington is- <http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&source=hp&q=port+orchard+washington+map&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Port+Orchard,+Kitsap,+Washington&gl=us&ei=R1H6Sp3xNo6csgPl8aH_AQ&ved=0CAwQ8gEwAA&ll=47.424371,-122.508545&spn=0.616935,1.454315&z=10>

Howdy Marty, good to see you posting again. Personally I don't give a hoot about Seafair. That's a big party mess IMHO, and I was done with that many years ago, but if it's an issue for others I'm cool with working around it. Pete, thanks for the link to the map of PO, but just FYI, the question wasn't "where IS Port Orchard", it was "where IN Port Orchard". The question asker is a local and parks his boat in PO sometimes, so he knows where PO is. John

Sounds good John. Whatever you guys decide on I think I should be there as long is it doesn't get too close to NASSIR3. I'm tentatively thinking of attending that with the truck and camper so we could spend some time touring more of the East Coast afterward.

The NGW run is at crater lake aug 19-22 and Hot August Nites in Reno is usually the first week in August so I voted for the later days in August. If I can make one maybe I can make both . Not a commitment at this time though. The earlier the better for me. My daughter is getting married in September and my wife is already stressing out over the details. Big, is all I can say. If I'm gone anywhere near September even by a couple of months I might as well stay up there and not come back.

Hi Jluvtodive, I also hope to be there. Since NY is too far this year. It would be fun to see more of the Northwest. Is there a ferry to Friday Harbor from Port Orchard? Anytime in Aug. works for me. Gene
