Hope Ding Dong and his better half are doing OK down in the ice rink in Oklahoma.

We only got a dusting of snow here - nothing to shovel this time. Nice to see that the "southerners" get to practice their snow shoveling skills!! :D

He He! We missed all the Ice. We were in the mountains of Idaho snow mobileing for 9 days. What an incredible time we had. Running the trails at 80 mph at times was awesome. The acceleration on those things is, well, WOW!  Didn't hit any bad roads till we got back into OKC. Pic below.

Tom: Had to be the most fun sport I have tried. You dress in layers and don't have a problem at all until you stop for lunch or a toddy.  :alco:There was no wind up there so no problem keeping warm. If you ever get the chance to go, don't pass it up.

Guess who the other guy is!;)

I last did the snowmobiling thing back when I was still in MI.  Looks the same as your pic.  I got up to exactly 80 mph [scary], but the folks I was with passed me like I was standing still, one was the guy's [suicidal] wife, that left me waaaayy back-in-the-woods.  They were hitting 120 mph regular enough.

We rode a lot of trails, offroad, that look like Tod's avatar.

BIG FUN!   Sure never got cold. :)

Popeye; It was the same thing for me. At 80mph I was bringing up the rear and yes it was scary. First time for me.

Yup.  They are called ATVs.  You can ride 'em year 'round.

I rode one of those ATV Trikes, once, in the summer.  [the smaller ones with the bouncy balloon tires].  I think it was the "Quadriplegic-Plus" model.  Turn more than 10 degrees roll-over.

The first time I stopped, I near ran over my own leg!  Then, the idiots went bustin' through fields, jumping little hills & going air born, dodging big rocks, tree stumps, big ruts, etc.  I followed waaay back & sissy slow.  Suicidal machines, there!!

The next Spring, a guy I worked with put his foot down at the wrong time with one of those... ran over his own leg.  2 months off work, in a cast as the LR tire removed the skin from his ankle to his hip. :hovering:

Some things just don't need to be tried twice.

We got one of those. It is a 200x. The boys ride it all the time. None of us ran over our legs though. I also make them keep it on flat ground. I rode one one time in the mountains in AZ and about ran into a bear. I also have 3" wheel extensions on the back which helps alot. Next time you come over I will let you ride it and show me how you ran over your leg so I can get a picture of it.:cheeky1:

I said I near ran over my own leg [it was a new 1988 model].  Next time I come over, leave the 'contraption' in one of your garages.  Just shoot me in the leg & save time & gas.  We will just need a 3rd person to get the pic.

Three wheelers went out with single ply toilet paper fer kristsakes. Its been quads for years now. I was racing 350 Banshee quads back in the 80's with paddle tires and alki fuel in the dunes outta Yuma. You can get hurt on those big time too, and I've got the crushed vertebra's to prove it:(

I should add it's called, " Don't look Ethel, the stupid b*****d just hit a sand wall at 70"!:crying:

Yes, lots of people. You can hear the sirens on the squad trucks every few hours if your in one of the main campgrounds. Its called ride at your own risk. Not a more fantastic place to get an adreneline rush and have more fun. Drag racing is # 1 out there for anything rigged for sand. Did it for years and spent every other weekend for 6 months out of the year out there for about 9 years. I miss it today.
