Roadrunner update : Not much change in her vision yet. She seems to think the left eye is getting better, but the right eye is worse.:(Hopefully it will start to clear up in a few days, we will just have to wait and see.

Thanks to the Flyone family and Popeye and Olive Oyl for dropping by Sunday.

Thanks to Olive Oyl staying with Linda during the day while I am at work.

Now she is more worried how her hair looks. I tell her it is fine even when it is not, then she messes with it more:D  I think she is finally on to me.:cheeky1:

Thanks for the update monkeywrench. Hang in there Linda, takes time for that seepage to dry up. Take you meds and be a good girl. ;)

I hope everyone else is doing OK. Heating bills are going to be a real b*****d for a lot of people and I hate that for all. The weather man is not encouraging at all when it comes to an end to this cold wave. We can only Blame Canada for this since its all coming from there!

The wind stopped dead here last night about 1:00AM. 5 hours later our little lake was frozen over the top solid. It had no ice on it at dark last night since the wind was keeping white caps on it. Now that's cold for a five acre pond to freeze over in five hours. Nasty nasty nasty.

On a good note; got water line unfrozen yesterday afternoon after a couple hours of work and it did not freeze shut last night. Maybe we have resolved the problem after the third fix! I bet we find a cracked pipe or two over in the barn after it starts to thaw out. Probably be a week or two yet before that happens.

I tried to get a job at Wally World so I could pay the electric heating bill around here but no luck. I was asked to do a demonstration on my "Greeting" and they did not care for my technique I guess. I just don't understand. I put a big smile on my face and said, "Welcome to Wally World, please enjoy your shopping and if you don't speak english then K-Mart is just down the street you commie b******s." I figured that sounded real American and would get me the job but they never called back! :(

Cabin Fever set in on me so I sent my picture to the "Lonely Hearts Club"
They sent it back and said "We're not that lonely."

I hooked up a 220v line to the garage yesterday for the coming mega-cold [for 220v heater].  Can't leave the big dog out when it gets near 0* or let the wing get too cold.
Now I see this from NOAA:

Tonight: A slight chance of freezing drizzle. Areas of freezing fog. Cloudy...

Wednesday: A chance of freezing drizzle before noon, then snow likely. Cloudy... Winds could gust as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: Snow likely and areas of blowing snow before midnight, then a chance of snow after midnight.... Wind chill values as low as -19. Blustery,... gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday: A chance of flurries... cold, with a high near 10. Blustery, with... gusts as high as 33 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -5.

Friday: Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 9.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around -1.
[What is "Blustery"?]  Why no "Bluster" for Wednesday?

tybme just couldn't let that one pass, I see.

Folks get a little stir-crazy, so it's pick on Popeye time, AGAIN? :?

I just checked NOAA [weather.gov] for your area; you get snow + "BLUSTER" on Wednesday.  How to enjoy all that 'territory' I left you with extra "BLUSTER" there?

[How to get down K-4 after 6 in snow + 35 mph winds, -20* + that extra BLUSTER ?] :walker:

I second that.............besides Dirtman needs a break from the beatings we have been given him! :cooldevil:

You know........Popeye is an easy target, especially now that he is down South and we can spot that slow black bike from a mile away!!!! :cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:

I now have 230v elec heater installed in attached garage & working. :)

I just checked NOAA for Wichita area after freezing drizzle & snow are done falling, blowing, drifting in 35mph winds, etc.:

Friday And Friday Night...Mostly clear. Highs near 10. Lows zero to 5 below, wind chills around 25 below.  :snowman: Sat morning will begin with a 25* below zero chill-in-the-air [that's 57* below freezing], but should start warming up a bit afterwards. :)

Gas money is supposed to be for bike... not furnace.

NOAA says 35* on Sunday.  Maybe we can do Mighty Max's 30* ride that he's been wanting to do. :action::action::action::action:

Forecast for Wicita says:

Tonight:  Wind chill values as low as -16. Blustery, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Hey Weather Guru!!  What is 80% of no accumulation?  :?
