I figured you'd get that one, Nort!  For the Mt Washington one ...  I've been there quite a few times and have been up there under similar conditions and recognized the gravel in the parking lot.  I was going to make a comment that it was from the smoke/steam from the steam run cog railway locomotive that comes up right by the parking lot there. She's standing next to the trolly cables going up to Sandia Peak, Albuquerque, NM.  I don't think so, but it is a similar look.
