Im Steve just turned 49 been riding since I bought my first Goldwing in the early eightys and have owned many diffrent bikes over the years but always come back to older Goldwings .

I spent 6 years active duity Army married my beautiful wife of 25 years and have three great kids from 18 down to 11, I just bought my almost 16 year old son a 87 250 Ninja and am excited to start riding with him (hes too cool to ride on the back of the Goldwing with dad now)

I am a Union Carpenter by trade and work as a job site superintedant for a large construction company.

My kids keep us very busy both my boys are wrestlers I coach Jr wrestling and help the freshman and sophmores with after season wrestling, my daughter is in Drum Line and it seems like they never stop. Life is a far cry from the old days it revolves around our kids now we were avid Scuba Divers and I was a skydiver for many years those and many others have gone by the wayside I am not complaning I wouldnt trade these days for anything,I get to ride to work more often than not and my bride and I ride at least a couple hundred miles on sundays.

I love this site I have time to lurk here often but dont post all that much but whenever i need advice you guys are always here to help and I truly apreciate that.

I truly belive that Goldwingers are the greatest bunch of folks on the planet.

Great idea!!  :claps:

Well my real name is Bill..  However 99% of the people I know call me Digger (most people don't even know my real name!!  hahaha).  I have been married to the best women in the world for 18 years.  I have one of THE BEST sons a man could ask for Lil Digger (real name Talon) is a super jock and pulls down straight A's in screwl.  I started back riding about 10 years ago and then got on a goldwing.  I have had an 82,81,85,99 and my current 2003..

My son is in the JROTC program at topeka high school. The branch he represents is the Marine Core. I rode down to Mountain Grove, Missouri to watch a competition this weekend. I left Friday after work, and rode in the dark, and rain there...300 miles there. I just got home Saturday night at 11:30. I rode in rain, fog, sleet, snow and wind...300 miles back. It was tough, but I love riding..so Im not complaining. Anyway..they won most of the trophys, and took the over-all trophy as well, for the drill team; color guard, armed and regular competition. I was one proud papa to say the least! My son is a freshman, private first class, and he is on the new cadet team, and the senior drill team..they walked away with the first place trophys for that too! Topeka High School is gonna be a fierce competitor at nationals in Daytona Beach...I cant wait! I thought I would share this with you on this thread since we are getting to know each other on a more personal level.:)

My name is Ron, I'm 47 years old and I live in a small town in south central Wisconsin, but was born and raised in Texas and Oklahoma.  I ended up here because I met and married a beautiful woman while on recruiting duty for the Marine Corps.  We've been together now for 20 years and have two wonderful sons.  The oldest is 26 (her's from a previous marriage) and is getting married this June.  The youngest is 18 and is graduating high school this June (gonna be an expensive month).

After 13 years in the Marine Corps, I've spent the last 17 years as the Service Manager of a restaurant equipment manufacturer in Beloit, WI.

I started out with Yamaha 650 Maxim almost 30 years ago, went to a Honda CB650, then a CB750, and now am on my 4th Goldwing, plus currently rebuilding another CB 650 with my youngest son.

Although I don't post a whole lot, I'm checking out the forum at least 4 times a week.  I first stumbled on it while researching a charging problem with an '86 Aspencade.  I've always considered myself an avid Goldwing owner, but being part of this forum has made owning a Goldwing a lot more fun and special than it ever was before.....Thanks everybody.
