..... with some hard men.... old friends of mine!

(My buddy Rick topping out on a trail we call, "Selah Butte)

(Rick and me, another summit....)

(Looks more dramatic than it is, old Mt. Rainier through the haze in the distance.......)

(The old man scrounges a cookie that he didn't carry....the mountain that drew me to my adopted home town, and kept me there, Mt. Stuart in the background.....)

Now I promise that as soon as the snow melts from my driveway, allowing me to get my bikes out, I'll start posting motorcycle pictures again! No more mountain shots.....Promise......

Nineteen degrees this morning! Clear sky, clear roads, but my driveway's still cloaked in ice and I can't get the bikes out...... and I know I was not gonna show you any more mountain pictures, but I lied:

(me, on the left, and the rest of the red jackets just before closing sweep, Sunday, while the rest of you were watching football!)

(Alpenglow over the Cascades....love these early evening sweeps, just you on a run, nothing but the wind, the skies, the setting sun.....)

(Alpenglow at it's best!)

(Climbed that prominent gully once when young and dumb; not the smartest thing I've ever done.....)

Not me Mel...I was in the air from Rio de Janeiro...had to wait for game updates from the pilot. But I gotta tell ya, the anticipation coming home to this sort of made the game seem superfluous...

I like the mountain pics CJ, weather taken on a MC, down hill Ski's, Cross Country Ski's, Bicycle, snow shoes or just plain bare foot, I like em any way I can get them, keep'em coming!

Well...... Those Purple tights left a blind spot on my eye..... so maybe you could leave those at home........:ROFL:

One more little walk.....Clemon Mountain.....3,350 elevation gain (and back down); 6.4 miles roundtrip; from car back to car 4:00: 04 hours; estimated calories used, 900. In other words, this was a grunt.....

(Old climber gathering, our route in the background.....)

(Beemer John checks things out... don't let that gray hair fool you, this man is a climbing machine. Denali (Mt. McKinley), Mt Kilamanjaro, Mt Rainier and all other Pacific Northwest mountains...Beemer John gets it down...)

(Looking back... for scale, check out the tiny climber in the middle.... Suzuki Fred, storming along!)

(hero shot, summit, 35 mph winds, shiver...... left to right, Fred "The Immortal" Stanley, Suzuki Fred, Yours truly, kneeling, Beemer John...Mt. Rainier in the distance...)

(Beautiful spot, gorgeous day.......)

(Time to boogie on down, before we freeze.....)

(Lunch and Water Ledge: out of the wind, anyway....)

(Mt. Rainier from our lunch ledge...our reward for 900 calories of effort.......)
