Rudy has been diagnosed with cancer and in order to get the needed tests ran and to get treatment started, he has to pay for part of it up front, money which he does not have. Rudy's financial situation has not been good for a while but he has soldiered on as many of us have had to do. medical insurance is a luxury that he has not had and now he finds himself with a health problem. for the next two weeks we will be having a fundraiser to try to help him out. anyone wishing to help out our forum ferret, please send paypal to ![]()

Thanks for posting this, Larry. I imagine that Steve will be posting a banner at the top of each main page shortly, directing members to this thread. I realize that everyone is hurting financially this time of year, but where would each of us be if Rudy wasn't here to save us time/money on repairs and such, never mind his sage guidance? This past summer, I have had the opportunity to watch Rudy make all his items for his 'Rudy's Products' line, from scratch and considering the cost of the raw materials and his time assembling/producing them, he's not making anything on them. I'll be sending what I can afford via a donation in a couple of minutes, Larry. Hang in there, Ric!

Dusty Boots wrote: I realize that everyone is hurting financially this time of year, but where would each of us be if Rudy wasn't here to save us time/money on repairs and such, never mind his sage guidance? Yes I agree. I know it's a lot to be asking so soon after everyone dug deep to help Durango Dave after his accident. But I feel the very least we can do for Rudy is let him know he is not alone while he gets through this. Remember that this is the same Rudy who has spent a good chunk of the last seven years right here with us, helping and advising at all hours of the day and night. I don't know how he finds the stamina. He does it all because he just loves sharing his knowledge with us. Rudy's mix of good natured sarcasm and dry wit are something I always read with a grin on my face, and I hope to go on enjoying for a long time. To those who in spite of the dire economic times are in a position to donate any few dollars possible to Rudy, I offer my own gratitude for your kindness and generosity. To those who can only offer prayers and best wishes and a post in here so that Rudy knows he is not alone, I thank you too.
