Things are moving along now. Tuesday, I go meet my oncologist to map out our "plan of conquest". My first test (PET scan) is on the 21st of this month. I am working on the bike some since I can't work. Just the little things that need tweaking. I've learned that pain medication and wire tracing do not mix. :cheeky1: please continue to keep me in your prayers. Those prayers and words of encouragement are the best medicine one could have.

Mike

The road mapped out for you will not be easy but Goldwings and Goldwingers tend to be of the durable persuasion and good for the long haul. May God ride with you. You are in my prayers.

Mike, I just caught this thread.  I'm sorry to be so late wishing you all the best.

I can relate though on the people who frequent this forum.   The telephone calls and posts on my thread that I received from all around the world helped me tremendously.  They gave me extra strength to pull through from the beating I took.

The same prayers can help you, because I am forwarding all of them on to you and your family.  Hang in there, believe that the Lord has good things in store for you to accomplish, and he won't cut your time short here.

John

Thanks, John. That really means a lot to me. Like I've said, everything is in God's hands, they same hands that delivered you from your ordeal. You are definitely in our prayers while you continue in your own recovery. I'll even put in a P.S. that you might find that trike your looking for.

Mike

I had my first meeting with the oncologist from the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute yesterday, and got some encouraging news. Because the mass is in the head of the pancreas instead of the middle or the tail, He feels we may have caught it in an early stage, say 1 or 2. He said if that was the case, he could get it all with surgery and I would have to have some radiation.  He changed my meds to help with the nausea. Things are looking a lot better now than last week.

It is so awesome to know that there are prayers and thoughts coming from all over the world for me. It is just hard to comprehend. Thanks

Let me be the first to say:  Great news, just great, great news!   Keep fighting, my friend, keep praying..... read all you can on mind/body interaction and "see" yourself being well........ it will be tough, but miracles happen every day, every day.

We will do all we can on our end.... prayers forthcoming......

If we can do anything for you, let us know.

Mel and Sandy

God is good. Support from family and friends has been phenomenal.  They put my dad in a Memphis hospital last Saturday for heart problems. Probably his worrying about me was just a little too much stress on him. He is going to be ok. He'll get a pacemaker tomorrow. Just something else for me to worry about. I'm reminded that God doesn't give more than you can handle with his help.
