Mike:
I'm just catching this, but I hope everything is going well with you, and your father.
My wife and I will lift you and he up in our prayers.
Remember that He is the Great Physician...but He uses doctors to heal, too!!

Hey bud...
You will be ok. A positive attitude is crucial. So none of that worrying crap, eh?
Best wishes to you...

| I don't know how to say this, but my precious Mike has inoperable pancreatic cancer - only 55 years old and the love of my life. I am told there is nothing but a little chemo to help him through this. I want everyone on this forum that he loves so much to pray for him - miracles do happen. We are making the rounds of surgeons and oncologists, fighting and seeking some relief for his pain. He is losing weight rapidly, but if he is still with me in October, I will bring him to Georgia for the weekend he is dreaming of. Would you let people on the forum know about him? He has not been able to do anything - has not even been able to answer his e-mails. Much love and thanks to all of you - Trish Simpson

| I'm so sorry to hear about Mike's situation. This is all getting pretty hard to deal with, the woman who hangs around was just diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. We have been making the rounds getting all the tests and won't know what the deal is for another week or ten days. My heart goes out to Mrs. Mike I sure do know how it feels and it ain't good. Miracles do happen, I sure hope a couple happen here.

Trish, you take care of yourself, and please make sure you tell Mike that all of us are thinking of him and praying for you both. After not hearing from him in a while, I had to bump this post back up.......I knew something wasn't right, not getting some ribbing back from him on some stuff.
Take care and we will be praying for you guys!!!!

scvmike wrote: I have been having a little pain in my abdomen for a couple of weeks and finally decided to go to the doctor. Well, this week I went to the hospital for some test. To make a long story shot, they found some polyps in my stomach and a mass in my pancreas. They did the byopsy on these and will let me know something this Tuesday. I already know that I will have to have extensive stomach surgury. To tell you the truth, this has really got me freaked out. I would like to ask my forum family to lift me up in your prayers, not so much for me, but for my family. Something like this is always tough on those you love. Thanks, and still hope to see all you crazies in Georgia.
P.S. If I happen to answer a question or make a comment and suddenly start typing in tongues, it's the meds.

I'm sorry to hear that.

My prayers goes out to you and your family. Just hang tough and have plenty of faith. Surgery has improved so much over the years. They can do much less intrusive surgery now and much less pain is involved.
