I hope I do not say something wrong. If i do it is because I have a very strong faith in God. I am not much of a church going type......as a matter of fact I find the antics of fellow humans pretty useless at times.
We all cling to life....we do not want to give it up....but there is another side to things.....such as you are discovering.
Your father has accepted God....he is tired of the fight, and simply has put his trust in the proper place and is ready to move on. This is really all God wants of any of us. To simply trust him.
My father became ill with a brain tumor......it only took several days for him to fight the battle.....to have surgery....and likewise make the decision to move on and rest.
I pray that your father does not suffer anymore than he has......and peacefully goes on to the arms of the trusted one. That was my prayer for my father....just a simple request that he not suffer.
Respectfully Kit

Will there is no need to apologise to us, you need to be doing what you are doing for your family and especially your dad, It's hard reading that he has accepted his situation and decided not to have anymore treatment, But as Kit said he is tired with fighting the enevitable and we must all hope he does not suffer in his transition from this world to the next
Be strong for him and your family,
David and Family

Friends:
Daddy passed away this past Saturday night at his home. I was with him all afternoon Saturday and he was in a coma. My sister and our spouses had dinner that night and we received a call from Momma around 10:15pm.
Here is a link to his obituary on The Clarksdale Press Register website. I don't think his hometown paper has an online edition.
http://pressregister.com/articles/2008/07/16/obituaries/doc487cc91361318221973087.txt
Please know that Daddy enjoyed this site and its members. He was very sick, and his passing was a relief to our family. We appreciate all of the kind posts and emails. If you would like to email my mother, please send the emails to me at contactsimpson (at) gmail.com. I will forward them on to her.
Will

Very saddened to hear this news, I had been looking froward to meeting SCVMike in September. That said, I am glad to hear that he is no longer suffering.
Will, please let your Mom and all the family know that he brought us a great deal of enjoyment with his posts on here, he had an infectious humour and always a friendly word to all.
Thank you for taking the time to come on here an keeping us informed.
RIP, SCVMike our internet friend.

Hey, I've got to get better. No way can I miss the rally in Georgia. My precious wife told me that if I couldn't ride my bike down there, she would drive me down. Of coares that would mean that I'd have to behave myself, but at least I would get to see you crazise in the flesh.
I am heartly sorry to learn of scvmikes passing
He was one of the forum characters For a young man he faced this huge hurdle with great dignity and great respect I'm sure he has left his wife and family many wonderful memories of days gone by they should hold these memories close to their hearts for long years to come
The above post was his last mesg on the forum
My Deepest Sympathy To His Wife And Family
May scvmike Rest In Peace.

Will, I am very saddened to hear of your dad's passing. This is a thread that could have remained inactive for a long time and I wouldn't have been disappointed.
Having said that I am sure he is in a better place and will be with you and your family everywhere now.
Take Care and God bless you and yours.

Will, I am so sorry to hear of your sadness. I really wanted to meet your dad before he passed but it did not work out. Perhaps I'll have the opportunity to meet you and the family sometime. Maybe you'd consider coming to the Rally in September in your Dad's place.
Best wishes and fast healing to you and the family.
Warmest regards, Tom

Will, Thank you for posting and allowing each of to share this time with your family. Many times we lose a friend and never know. I pray that in Gods grace your family be blessed and strengthened in the days to come. Thank you Lord for the faith and strength our Brother Mike has exhibited and allowing our lives to touch.
This forum comes together as family and we don't want to lose anyone so stay in contact as time permits.

I'm sorry that scvmike's time had to come an end so soon in life.
Nancy and I will say prayers for you and your family.
It's very hard loosing ones father, but I know that sometimes it gets to the point you only want the pain and suffering they experience to stop.
Lean on the shoulders of our Lord during these times and he will help ease the pain that you and your mom are now feeling.
Remember, your dad is standing there next to him.
