This is sad news and will be hard on both of you. My prayers go out for you and your wife. When you can spare a moment drop us a note to let us know how you're doing.

When you've been with someone that long, half your life, it hurts when they hurt.

Let's all hope that Cyber Knife can do the trick! As tough as times are right now, you have been blessed with the opportunity to "take care of business". Yes, it comes with the burden as well...

You both are in my prayers.

Mohawk, sending lots of prayers to you and your wife.

Prayer can be very strong, and has been known to cause total remission,

we can hope for the best and will think of her each day until she is better. :waving:

Mohawk, Sue there is not a whole lot of words that one can send across the distance  between us that make things better as if by magic. Know that in the night and in the very early dawn there is always someone with you in prayer and thought. AZgl1500 spoke it, Faith and prayer is the stength that has been known to cause complete remission. Prayer from our home on the way.:angel2: Ken

Mohawk,

Several years ago, my wife and I went through "the lump in the breast" scenario. It instantly transformed us and made us realize what was and what wasn't important any longer. We took stock of our lives and our love for each other and it deepened our faith in our Creator. All of a sudden life was not taken for granted any longer and those things that are temporal were set aside for those things that are eternal; Love, memories, etc.

It turned out that the lumps were benign but by the time we found out, there had been a paradigm shift in the way we looked at life, never for a moment to ever take it for granted again. We were changed forever.

My prayers are with you and your wife through this difficult time.

Blessings on you both,

Tim

Thanks John,  Every little bit helps in this case.

I will gladly accept any and all help in this one.

And I am the guy that has gone hungry many times after refusing food at friends homes just because I am too proud to accept anything that I myself didn't provide.
I have been that way my whole life.

But this is not me and this is way above anything I can do to help except be there for her.

We are now 6 Chemo and almost 30 radiation treatments into this and she is really starting to suffer.  It makes for really long nights for her.

She is still working at the Bus Garage as she enjoys being around her friends.
If she sat home it would just eat at her and make it worse.

Thanks everybody for your Wishes and prayers.

Catch ya all later

Mohawk

Mohawk--I am deeply saddened at reading the news about your wife. There are no words that can express what you two must be going through.

Hello Folks,

Well, I thought it time to post about Sue's progress.

She has now outlived the prognosis of 9 to 18 months left to live.
I didn't realize that she was keeping such close track on it and I think it's bad to think about it all the time. So I was surprised last month when she said She Beat them.
I said, "Beat Who?" and she replied, "Those Damn Doctors."

I know she sweats the doctors visits every few months.
But each and every time they report that there is no changes so they push the date back.

They are very careful and tell us each time that she is still terminal, She still has active cancer but it is not changing or growing, So we continue with our lives.

I know she suffered through 2 different sets of Chemo treatments and two different radiation therapy sessions.  And she still found time to go to work every day.

When she started losing her hair the first time I got to scalp my first white person.  It wasn't as fun as I envisioned.  Must be the tears from both of us put a damper on the festivities. Also Shopping for Wigs really sucks.
Cause what I liked she hated.  Grin
I finally ended up paying someone to take her and some girlfriends shopping for the wig.

Well now it's been almost 2 years after when we were first told and her hair is back and she finally is gaining weight.  We find ourselves falling into the same routines.
Which is nice but scary too while waiting for the next shoe to drop.

I just wanted to update you all and Thank You ALL again for your Prayers and thoughts.

Have a GREAT WEEK.

Your Friends Always,

Mohawk

Mohawk, thank you very much for the update on Sue.

I hate those words "it's terminal". Maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. they tend to remove hope, and there should always be hope and room for prayer.

Prayers and more Angels to watch over Sue and keep her with you.

John

Thanks for the update Mohawk, this is good news. It doesn't seem like nine months already since you posted this first. We are still remembering Mrs. Mohawk and yourself in our prayers.
