Mohawk, the next time Sue goes into the doctors office, tell her to ask for an opinion from a physician who's no longer practicing, but has finally learned his craft.

Mohawk, Your original post was before I joined, so this is the first time I have seen this. I am very sorry to hear of this health challenge your wife is facing, but the update you posted is promising, glad to hear that. I like the car lease story. Humor and a positive attitude can have great positive effects on one's health. I saw a story about a woman with hopeless, terminal cancer. She went to another cancer treatment center and the doctor told her, I don't see any expiration date stamped on your foot. She has outlived the original estimated terminal period by a great deal and her health is imporing greatly. Point is, those guys are doing their very best, but they are guessing when then give you a time frame. Lots of variables that cannot be forecast can increase or decrease one's health condition. A positive outlook being one of the most important. Making the best of everyday makes more days to make the best of. You and your wife are in my thoughts and prayers, I wish you the best in beating this for a very, very long time.

Heheh, Yea, The wife and I have Humor in abundance. When we were in Chemo for the 6 hours they keep you trapped there. We always used to shock and surprise the clients and the nurses with comments we would make to each other. With everybody at that stage of Cancer and everybody is in a room strapped to a bottles of poison being fed through your veins, The humor is kinda dark. But normally it is kept quiet or at least between you two. But every now and then it springs forth. I remember this one time while we were all watching some show on the ceiling mounted TV's there was something about this women complaining about his previous wives stuff in the house. My wife turns to me and says, "You aren't getting rid of all my stuff are you?" I replied, "What do you care, You wont be around." Everybody cracked up and laughed out loud, It brought the nurses out of their glassed in office to see what was the matter. And then they repeated it to the nurses. They too started to laugh. The above wasn't what was actually said but close as to what I remember anyway. We always just come out and say what we want and it shocks some people. But it's good for us. Thanks for the Comments Guys and have a GREAT WEEKEND. Mohawk & Sue

First, I'm sorry to hear about your wife's condition. The two of you seem to have a great attitude toward the problem. Much better than just giving up. I would like to pass on to you my wifes story. In Aug. '06, we found out she had breast cancer. She found a lump 2 days after a mammogram. As a nurse, she knew everything, and discounted it as a blocked duct from the mammogram. Three month's later, had it checked. She went through all the chemo, and a number of surgeries. Six months later, she had a routine colonoscopy, and they found a golfball sized tumer. Another round of chemo and surgeries. She had what we hope will be the last surgery 5 weeks ago. Throughout all of this, I never saw her cry, or heard her say "why me".I can only hope I would be as strong as her under those conditions. Don't give up hope, keep fighting. Attitude means more than a lot of people realize. The other thing I learned from this, is that friends caring and showing their support mean more than you can imagine. Good luck, lots of folks here cheering for you both.
