Good Morning People.

I have just lately received a few emails to ask where I have been, So I figured I would tell you all at once.  I have waited a month and a half to post this.

My wife had Lung Cancer last year, But after Chemo and surgery and removing 2/3rds of her right lung she was pronounced Clean and fit.  That is until her 2nd check up.  They found a spot that lit up and set her up for an X-ray then a Cat Scan then a Pet Scan before finally telling us anything.

Now I really don't want a big fuss made or a lot of sympathy as we have always handled things by ourselves.  But I had made plans to make the Georgia Meet & Greet and have rebuilt my Bike and had everything ready for the trip.  But I have been keeping quiet to see how this plays out.

So Sorry Guys, I wont be able to make the trip.  We have had 3 opinions now and they all say that this is terminal and she has only 9 to 18 months left to live.
She has cancerous Lympf Nodes in inoperable places that they cant get to.

So I am going to spend them here with her till she leaves me.
This is the 2nd Marriage for both of us and We have been together 27 years now and Married for 20 of those.
She has always been my Best Friend whether it's riding or Fishing or any other project I was involved in.

Now I gotta learn to clean the bike myself,  Grocery Shop, Do the Wash, Clean the house and all the million other things that always magically got done while I was doing something else.

She has me in Training now teaching me all the stuff that I didn't care about.

I don't know if I will be spending more time here or less, But I have been away for long stretches lately and this is why.

Besides, I didn't want my post count to get so high that I became Senior.
I wanted to be a Guru when I grew up.

She has had Four 4 Hour Chemo treatments and she has Radiation every day and we are looking into the Cyber Knife technology for the next round to try and prolong her life.  But all of this is making her really sick. So quality of Life is really sucking now for both of us.

I just thought you all should know why I have been missing out on the fun here.

Catch ya All Later

Mohawk

Hi Mowhawk and of course Mrs Mowhawk. I am one of those who have been in contact with you, so already had a picture of whta is going on in your lives.

You will remain in our thoughts and I shall keep in touch, hoping and praying that there is some relief from the painful treatment and that the Doctors at least buy you some more time.

Not much we can do from here, save for send you some cyberspace hugs. :3sum:

Thanks Guys,

Make sure you take lots of pictures and post them in the gallery for we that can't make the trip but wish we were there.

Thanks too for your thoughts and Prayers.

I will show this to Sue to show her that she is not alone in this.

I can hear her crying in the night, But when I go downstairs to help comfort her, It seems to make it worse for her.

But I thank you for the prayers.

C Ya

My heart goes out to you and your wife, Mohawk. Have been through the cancer thing in my own family, something I'm afraid the majority of us could probably say, unfortunately. You and yours will be in our prayers.
