Well folks, truth is the Old Cyote61 is 65 this year. I'm 6'2" and weigh 240 and I'm meaner than a basket of pissed off rattlesnakes. So what do I do? And I've also had heart bypass surgery, been there done that.
True story, last week a sheriff shows up at my door and says someone has asked for protection escort so I don't hurt them while they return some ummmmmmmm not theirs property. I think I'll keep my reputation and my current condition the way it is. ( the sheriff was a nice guy and we had a good laugh. I'm known here. Teeeeheeee.

I've been there and done that and back again......all over again. I did the contest in 2000 as well. But it does feel good to get the body back in shape and feel good and look good too

Yeah, I'm also a repeat performer, but now have the incentive to keep it off. It has it's downside too, I ordered a Mech Tech III jacket and after wearing it a few times decided I bought one size too big. Gonna have to sell this one and get me a medium if I can spare the cash before summer is over.

Oh man, that is such a coincidence. I just bought this Goldwing textile jacket ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=300219874721
for riding and I'd been thinking about for quite some time. But by the time it arrived, I had over-estimated my size and it was too big for me and so I had to buy one size smaller. Now I have to sell the other one. I hadn't even worn it and it still has the tags on it. Bummer..... You win some .....you lose some....(no pun intended)

OK, I finally got moved today and tired is not the word. I have been rode hard and hung up wet My wife said I have lost weight but I can't tell; the bathroom scales are boxed up somewhere amongst the clutter.
I bang my already injured knee on the deck that I was repairing so I am on crutches again I've got to check my numbers tomorrow and see how much progress I have made in the weight loss category.
Keep on Winging

I had another doc appt yesterday... This one to discuss the gut surgeons comments with the family quack (said lovingly-I trust this woman implicitly).
I got on the scale on the way in. 214.5. Thats down 4.5 from last year at this time, which I was happy with due to the relative inactivity of my back problems and the gut issues in March...
Also, its 214.5 is down from 235 two years ago. I am 6'1", so I could lose a few more and not miss it...
The down side... Jean (the family quack) is urging me to do what the gut doc is recommending. He says I need to have about a foot of my colon removed... Thats what put me in the pokey in march.
man, will it end? I know there are many many people out there that have it way worse than me, but I am a bit weary of all this...
oh well, onward and upward...

Hey Dick, 214 is a darn good weight for 6' 1". And another thing, do not get down to to low if your going to have any kind of surgery. The body needs some fat reserves during the stress and healing processes. And don't argue with me cause I know. And if you have any kind of major surgery they as always take all your food away and IV you sugar water. If you have gut surgery you won't eat for a week. So take heed, don't pull your fat level down too far yet. Removing part of the colon is pretty popular and they've got it down to a pretty fine science now. I had it done about 30 years ago and they had not ironed all the bugs out of the operation back then but I still was out and back to work in 2 weeks on half days. IF you got to have it done, you'll be fine, a foot of it you can spare. If you have diverticulitis I can talk to you about what I know on th subject since I've had that for many years and you can beat a lot of it without surgery. Drop me a PM if you want to give me a call. Keep

Sorry to hear about your continuing medical problems UBARW, hang in there, this will pass. The woman who hangs around here had a colon resection around four years ago due to a suspicious tumor. Turned out benign but they took out 6-8 inches of it. It really didn't take long for her to recover, and it wasn't bad for her. She could go back to eating anything in sight within a few weeks. (I hope she doesn't read this)
