I was talking to the forum dilomat the other and found out the Dennisthemenace had suffered some more heart attacks and was back in the hospital, having said that he'll probably pop up here in a minute and contridict me (spelling).

Unfortunatly he does not have access to the tinternet or email, so here is an idea, send a PM to me or silverfox with your good wishes and general chit chat and between us we'll ensure dennis gets them as soon as possible.

I am going to be introuble as i have not asked silverfox if he'll participate in this venture but being the diplomat he is I am sure we can count on his participation.

so please peops, send us a PM for dennis and we'll make sure he gets them....

I'm sure Pete won't mind under the circumstances. I'll sticky this thread as well so everyone can get in touch.

Having found out from Dennis at the weekend, that the hospital he is in doesn't have internet I am in full agreement with the idea of posting well wishes and I will forward them on by snail mail.

It will probably give more continuity if anyone who wants to send messages or whathave you, posts them here on this thread and I can then print off a geod few and forward them on.

Having suffered two more heart attacks the week before last ( one on Tuesday and another on Thursday, the poor old git is now languishing in the local cardiac unit awaiting transfer to St Thomas's in London.

For those that don't know the story, Dennis, has had two triple bypasses in years gone by and now really needs another. The Docs are loath to do it though because of the risks, ( not least to their medical reputations!!!:X)

Poor Dennis keeps having angina attacks and then heart attacks which weaken his heart. He is perfectly happy to accept the risk, since his quality of life is so badly affected, as is the welbeing of Ann his wife, who is obviously under considerable mental strain if nothing else.

Both of them are incredible, putting on a brave face, despite the seriousness of the situation. When we visited them the other weekend, they entertained us brilliantly and Dennis was still there with his sense of humour in tact. I doubt I could have braved the visit if I were feeling so bad.

Depending on news of his move to St Thomas's and any treatment that he may have, I will try to get to visit as soon as possible and might even be able to hand deliver any massages posted here.

I will of course keep you posted of any news.

My best wishes to Dennis and Ann, join the list that comes on here over the next few days. I for one, miss our very own "Victor Meldrew" and his eloquent posts, so full of humour.

Please keep Dennis in your thoughts or prayers and let's hope he gets the treatment that he so badly needs to get him up and running again.

Dennis, Nancy and I both will keep you and your lady in our prayers. I hope that if you do have to spend time in the hospital, at least the nurses look good!!

But then that would get your blood pressure up. D*mn. Live is a doubled edged sword.

God Bless!  :waving:

Pete...most of the hospitals here in the states have a place on their website (that's if they have a website) that allows people from other parts of the country or world to send an Egram to the patient. The hospital will print it off and hand deliver it to the patient. So please see if the hospital has that option and if so please put a link to the hospital in a post here.

Regards, Don (Putt)

Dennis of Menace- My best wishes to you; I've been so jealous of Pete and Helen, and their reunions with you and Anne.  They've all sounded quite lovely....

Take the best care of yourself you can, mate.  Any mate of theirs is a mate of mine, ok? :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:

The very best thoughts and prayers I can offer go out to you both.  I'm counting on exploring the southeast coast with you, meaning you'll be "showing" and I'll be "learning", ok? :waving:

sorry to hear about dennis, i now how he feels about the bypass, i had one a few years ago, and found out last month that i need another one, lifes a bitch, and on a lighter note, been diebetic on tablets and insulin, been using insulin for the last four years, although its controlling the sugar levels i was making me put weight on. so now i'm not on insulin, i'm on some new stuff called exenatide ( BYETTA ) its made from lizard spit from the gila monster, native of the southwestern states of the U.S.  arizona, in the two weeks ive been taking it i'm  feeling like a different person ( hope the wife dont find out :cooldevil: ) and  already ive lost three pounds, with none of the sides effects, and theres every chance i could escape another bypass, just though i'd share that information with you,

Dennis, best of luck for a speedy recovery. We're prayin' for ya here in the Southern Tier of New York. Without good folks like you, the Forum would not be the same, so let's try not to spend too much time chasing the nurses around... Perhaps one of our Ozzy friends would be good enough to loan you one for a bit.
