Oh, he exist, all right, there have been Redwing sightings for years off the coast of Ireland, he has been seen on a red Honda 50 on several occasions, but never on his "neighbor's "1800" as he has claimed, and some have even spoken to him in person, from what I have investigated.  I hear lately, he has been trying to avoid the limelight, due to the stalking of a couple members of the oposite sex.  But don't dispair, he is out there.:cooldevil::cooldevil::cooldevil:

Well I have certainly had some problems getting the lovely Mr. Redwing to talk to me; I have tried everything, I nearly have enough money saved to visit that nice Mr. Wexman and buy a brand new wingy thingy for the Mr. Redwing and I to cruise through the night on, but he won't talk to me.

Mr. Papajoe can you help me?

I bet he's a lovley man really all cuddly and snuggly you know what I mean.

There's been Bigfoot sightings, too, but does that prove anything?

And it could be anyone on the phone...

I'm still not convinced.

I don't know about Redwing...

But you make my heart sing...

What could Redwing be thinking?

Keeping you on the end of a string....

Yes he does exist, didn't he have a telephone yap with someone on the forum who was ill a while back. I can't recall who it was, but he was lucky to get seperate calls from wexman, wingnut and Redwing while in hospital. Up to that I had been a bit sceptical myself, but now I'm converted; Redwing is alive and in the building. :cheeky1:

Andy is correct. Anyone doubting the existence of Redwing should send a PM to John (AZgl1500) for the full report. Some of us thought that Redwing and Steve were the same person, I'm glad I didn't bet on it. John is the expert on this subject as he had phone calls from Steve Saunders, see this thread - 14th post down;

http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum4/37603-6.html

and from Redwing himself, 12th post down this thread;

The wingnut would need to be good at changing his voice. I'd take AZ's word for it, if he finds this thread. Maybe a PM...

Hooboy, what a topic this one is.    I just found my travel trailer again for another night to sleep by the ocean.   Turned on the WiFi enabled laptop and found the following PM waiting for me.

So, here is how I remember it:
------------------------------------------------------
_____Original Message_____
From: englishted
Date: 2008-05-12 15:12:46
Subject: Redwing exists?

Hello John, I was wondering if you can clear up something on this thread please;

http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=44774&forum_id=3&jump_to=450633

Seems that some members think that Redwing and wingnut (or maybe wexman) are one and the same person. I'm betting not, but as you seem to be the only forum member who has had the privilege of actually speaking to all three of them when they phoned you in hospital, you would clarifiy it either way once and for all. ;)
Thanks in advance.

Ride safe,

Ted.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Ted, and thanks for the PM.

Well, as I was in the hospital with a knock on the head... I might not be a totally reliable source.  But, from what I recall, they were three different voices.

However, they did call me on separate days.   Redwing was the craftiest of the bunch.  He asked me if I knew who I was talking too. I didn't of course, and then he asked if I knew which side of the ocean I was talking to?

I said something like around Wales or thereabouts. He got onto me about his island not being in Wales.    I do wish that I had a recording of all of my conversations.  Time and bad memory are reducing them to dust which distresses me a lot.

The accident has damaged my memory, especially my short term memory. That makes me angry because my memory used to be pretty good.  But, I can't do anything about it, so I guess I will have to make the best of what I have now.
------------------------------------------------------

I started out just PMing Ted right back.  Then I realized what it was about and followed the link.  I found this new thread which is really quite neat :waving:

So, is Redwing for real?    I think so, and as I have no reason to doubt that the crafty devil does exist, well, I'm going to continue to think that he does.

So, there you have it, from the "horse's mouth" of the only one documented to have talked to Redwing.

John
