Got the go ahead on the cookbook. This will be at least a 75 page bound cookbook with cover and protective cover. Deadline for recipe submissions will be Dec. 31 2008 and she will need at least a month to get them done and out. Price will be $12.00 US including shipping per book. After shipping, all proceeds go to Steve Saunders for site costs or member assistance. Don't send money now.
I need to know what you all want on the cover and what color you want the cover to be. Me, I'm thinking as close to the forum yellow as we can get with the patch on the cover page. What do you all think?
Also, what are we going to name this book? Steve Saunders Goldwing Forum Cookbook? Tell me what you want. If I get too many suggestions I'll put it to a poll. This is a one of a kind cookbook, at least I think it will be so keep that in mind.
Ok, PM me with you recipes including your forum name, real name and where you are from (general location, not address). If you will want a book then let me know that in a PM as well, of course I will need your address then or you won't get one.

Just a thought, my oldest daughter is a graphic artist and I might be able to con her in to a cartoon style background for the cover, featuring such notable characters as Redwing, Wingnut, The Axe etc all for free of course. Then the patch could overlay that.
I'm buying her lunch tomorrow so I'll float the idea.
Question, how many recipes per person?

As many recipes as you want to send, she'll fit in as much as she can. Thanks, let us know on the artwork too.

I just finished putting up my last 27 pints if Sissy Salsa (put up 26 pints of hot stuff last last weekend - Sissy Salsa is for those who can't take the heat). I'll send along a recipe in the next little while.
Once you've tasted this Salsa - you won't be going back to store bought

I'm working on my recipes!
I forgot to ask daughter the artwork question, too much family stuff to discuss, haven't seen her for a couple of months.
I put in a phone call to her and I've no doubt she'll get back to me in due course.

Talked to my daughter and what we came up with was the idea of line drawing cartoon style of a few notable forum characters.
This would go on the yellow background somehow surrounding the patch. She has the right idea, she said "This is pro bono work, right?" and of course I said yes.
The question remains of who to put on the cover.
I thought the obvious choices were:
Wingnut
Wexman, wielding an axe
Redwing
That means someone has to come up with a picture of Redwing, failing that I suppose we could use his 'gator, maybe even a 'gator riding a Honda 50.

For REDWING i would put casper the ghost ... he has been missing now for a few weeks and he is like a ghost . .Ciaran

The Ferret, how could we miss him!
In fact, how about someone come up with a recipe for Fricassee de Ferret and we could make it the signature recipe?
Or we could have Ferret Soup, 1800 cc of water with a dash of Delo 400.

WARNING. You better only put the ferret in 1500 cc of water or their will be a bad taste.
