Scott, that "behind the scenes" stuff you refer to:
I have just been introduced to that part of the forum and I have had an education in what it takes to keep this wonderful meeting place "what it is".
It isn't always easy and can at times make you "walk the fence line" trying to keep it all in top order.
The admins here and the mentor moderators all are owed a glad hand .

Congrats Steve and Thank You!!! I am not going to try to say something great about this forum because it would be a repeat of what everyone has said! It's because of your insight and design, we can all enjoy the fruits of your labor!
And Redwing! It is good to see you back!!!
Your Forum Greeter Subjects always need guidance!! Remember when you gave me crap about needing a spoiler because my bike looked naked?? I took your advice and Thanks!

No doubt, Steve, you will be the first to admit that the award was a team effort being the humble person you are. Yet, just like a sled dog team, the rest of the team will only run as fast as the leader will run. Hey...there's a sermon in there somewhere...
Blessings to you and congratulations!!

Congratulations Steve. This is simply the best Goldwing forum around, with a great combination of information, fun and entertainment. The way you created and steered it brings out the best in us members and your modesty in crediting the members with the forums success and not taking the credit is genuinely humbling. I've never been involved in a place as good as this is for my feeling of well-being anywhere, in spite of me visiting all the copycat sites who generally just want to pull money from advertising.
Goldwingfacts.com is a forum and site with only the interests of the Goldwing community at heart and with nothing being asked for in return. I wear my forum button and show off my forum keyring with pride.

| My only complaint about this site is I have work to do and this site makes it hard to get motivated about anything else then riding. The paper work is piling up, reports are late, and the phone is ringing. Still I sit here on line at this site

Very nicely said Nick. I met Steve and his son and good lady a few years ago and he struck me as a chap who didn't like the limelight and preffered the company of a few to that of many. He just isn't keen on taking credit for the forums popularity or on the idea of making money from it. His attitude was that the forum would be there for good and if our donations didn't cover the costs he would cover it himself and there would be no commercial companies allowed to hijack it on us.
