| Just filled up the wing for under 11 bucks. $2.47 a gallon tonight. That worked out nice, cuz we got a big ride going on tomorrow.

If oil goes to $60 I think I could live with the price of gas. I remember before Katrina it was around 1.50 / gal
I remember when I was furious over having to pay $2...
They all seem like memories now.
My local HEB store has it for 2.99 around the corner. The Chevron and Exxon are still trying to get 3.08 today.

I remember when I bought my 1964 Austin Healey Sprite. That 11 gallon tank (I think) cost me about $2.60 to fill it up. Of course, my wages then were only $50.00 for a 40 hour week.
If I work that out in today's prices, it costs me about the same or less to buy the same 11 gallons. The same on $5.00+ gas or slightly less now at $3.28 gas.
The 11 gallon figure is what my little work car needs to fill it up.

AZgl1500 - Yes! You can tell I've been away from motorcycling for awhile, I don't think I could much top $6.50 to fill up my 1500, I put $24 into my 1800 back when the prices were pushing 3.94 here. I remember puting $24 into my 1968 lincoln back in 1979. And that car held 24 gallons of gas.
Oh man are we so screwed. I'd like to see T.Boon Pickens CNG my goldwing!
We get what we get and should be grateful I suppose.

Saw $2.99 this evening here in North Western Pa. That's good for me going to Coudersport Pa. for a vintage sled show/swap meet/radar run this weekend , will make it a little easier on the ole gas tank for a change.
