Fresh home from Vietnam, about a century ago, I walked into a shop and bought my first real motorcycle, with cash (separation pay), and had the salesman show me how to ride it.........
"See that lever down there," said Mr. Saleman, squinting to keep cigarette smoke out of his eyes. "By your toe.... yup..... well, it goes one down for first, and all the rest are up..... got it? Good... ya gotta let that there clutch lever out easy, now..."
I got it, and after they pushed me through the front door, I wandered and wobbled off into Seattle's nighttime traffic. I was wearing an Army fatigue jacket and no helmet! Criminey! How did I not kill myself?
Have a good riding life, Ms. Black Shadow, may your roads be curvy and your tank full!

Hey, Wexy.... (not to hijack the thread)......
but could a dozy Yank (like me! ) buy a bike from you, license it and insure it somehow, ride it for a summer in Ireland, Scotland, and Norway..... and then sell it back to you before returning to McDonaldville? Not for the same price, of course, but with a reasonable loss?
Kind of like a "Buy-Back" program?
Any help appreciated
