Bought the Wing last spring. Took one look at all that Tupperware and knew I was in deep doo-doo if anything broke because I don't know what the heck is in there! So I started surfing, found all this great info and friendly people. Jumped in and joined my first and only ever forum. A couple of months later I'm trying to sing a duet with Flyone and wandering around the mountains behind Kit's GPS. I love it!

I was traveling on Northwest Airlines in the front cabin when Flyone was assigned the seat beside me. I didn't have a clue who he was but after a couple of introduction reasons on where we were going and why we were. The subject turned to motorcycles and when Bill learned that I had a 1800 Goldwing, he smiled real big and told me about himself and his bikes. He told me about this great forum and how I would really enjoy it. Flyone invited me to this forum and I have really enjoyed it. Looking forward to meeting the group in Arkansas.

Well I joined up here in Aug of 06. Had just bought the 1100 that I still have. The carbs were a mess. I was told by the po that they had just been rebyuilt. But what I later found was a very rusty fuel tank anf the whole fuel system ended up replaced. Found the site by doing a search on carb help for a GL1100. Glad I found this site. Have told dozens of others about it. Great group of people lots of help and glad to have met a lot of you at NASSIR 1. Still talking to the wife about making #2. She is not sure she wants to go to Colorado.

I do vaguely remember that. Seems we flew in on Paul’s brother in law's 1946 T-Craft, and spent the weekend examining that Honda50, looking for any cracks. We did find a few, but some well placed duct tape, took care of that and Redwing was off, and down the road. Spent the rest of the day...:toast:, and taking in the stale sea air...….Redwing never did come back………………..:baffled:

I lurked for awhile, after I decided I wanted to get back into street riding - 'Wing style.  Found the place while searching for "going rate" pricing on 1200s.

Joined up the day after riding the Aspy (birthday present from me) home. :)

Yep, she still likes him after all those years. ;)  They moved down there to be closer to one of their daughters and the grandkids.

I should know better than to believe everything he tells me anyway.:dude:

I had 2 gold wings I was working on and needed help. I was getting on another forum a lot when one of my brothers told me about this one. Since I have a 76 and a 78, I spend a lot of time on the other forum and didn't spend much time on here for a good while. Now, I'm considering getting a 1500 or an 1800 and doing a lot more reading on here. I love this forum and am usually on here for a couple hours every day. I don't talk a lot on here as you can see from the number of posts, but I sure read a lot. Thank you for being such a great place for wingers!
