I found this by accident. I've been rebuilding a 1200 Aspy and needed some technical info. Googled for Goldwing problems and after sifting out all the chaff came up with you guys. (Just shows how bad all the others are) LOL. Great site . Haven't even had to ask a technical question yet 'cause all my problems have been answered in your FAQ's.When I've finished her I'll post some pic's and hopefully have some more time to have a chat. Keep up the good work.:clapper::clapper::12black:

Googling on a FAIRING search . . . Took me MD Kramer's reply to the "I think I need a Fairing" as I recall.

Guess I need to chime in and tell my story too!

After 25yrs of wanting a Wing but could never afford one, I had an offer I couldn't refuse.  I went to see the bike, a 1985 LTD, and fell in love with her.  Of course she needed a little work.  On the day the seller and I agreed on money....I googled "Goldwing" and a few sites popped up.  After sorting the information in them and the personalities of the members, this site kept coming up as the best one.

I was right....it is the best one on the net for information and friendship.   I have met alot of people on here and in person because of this site and have made many new friends...(even some from across the pond!!)

I recommend this site to everyone I meet with a Wing.  I am here to stay!!:action:

So the story about you finding the site whilst googling "auctioneers jobs" isn't true then. :?:cheeky1::cheeky1:

I read the 'goldwing history' article which had been republished on a Canadian Wing site and they linked to the original owner of the article on this site. Then I see the message board link and came here.
I'm glad I found you here, looks like I've missed out on a lot of good stuff by not finding it before.

Well.. better late than never....

I've had a gold wings since 1983... dealer serviced until '94 when I started doing my own.... and finally in 2006 I tried to do the carbs for the forst time.. was not very successful, so went looking for info online.. found this site... exavid, Randakk, Juluvs2dive Wiskerfish, axelwik and a bunch of others got me through it and other stuff... been a fan ever since and hopefully can help sometimes.. (been extremely busy at work last few months, so not around here as much as I would like..)

And got to ride with Gregg (who started this thread) last fall.. [great topic, Gregg!]

Like most, I found the site trying to work on my FIRST wing, Always wanted one, but could never afford to buy.  I had a guy make me an offer I couldn't refuse last year, and of course the bike needed work, but for what I got it for there is a lot of room to fix er up.  I found Steve's site on my first search for Goldwings, Asked a question about carb's, and met some of the nicest people I've ever encountered in my life, fixed my wing, and they will have to throw me out if they want me to leave.

This is the greatest site I've ever found on the web, It hosts the best bunch of bikers I've ever met, And it keeps me out of trouble............................Sometimes :cheeky1:

im too old to learn how to use one of those damn things!  thats what i told my wife.  but she insisted i learn how just incase i needed to know at some point in time.  well that point in time came when i got a call from ford motor comany, and  they told me i had to go take a test at the holiday inn for employment. i did and got hired and that is how my computer abilitys came to play.  i never got on much, but bought my wife all the latest gadgets and lap tops and all the stuff that goes with them. the lap top i am using now was hers, and she used it for quite a while, till it got old and beat up and i bought her a new one last year.  so my buddy cleaned this one up and got me goin on it.  i told him that i got to get on some wing sites to talk to my wing buds.  he said all right, hit google, and type in 1800 goldwings.  i did and this site poped up.  he told me about registering and all that, put my pics on here and everything, and as they say the rest is history.  i still get lost in here sometimes but, this site is very dummie friendly.  :D i can pretty much find my way around pretty easily. thanks steve for giving us this site to use to our full advantage.  :bowing::bowing:...........rick

I found it today. I was looking for information on my GL1100 which I bought in March. I'm not too hot on computers so I asked my 12yo son Brian to search out Goldwing sites and he reckons this one is the best available. Brian's word is good enough for me.

I googled it when I got my first wing.Never looked back since. I have met a lot of interesting people nd had a few good ride outs with them. I even met one member on the opposite side of the world(new Zealand)& had a few drinks. This site is the tops.

I went to visit my sister and brother-in-law one day and when I got there he was looking in the for sale/wanted forum for a set of floorboards for his dad's 1200 and I checked it out. That's when I signed up and it's been great ever since. Who knew there were so many great people in the world.:clapper:
