FLYBOY.................started hanging around my dad`s flying club at age 5. Went on to spend 21yrs in the Canadian Air Force, 5 as an Air Traffic Controller then 16 as a Pilot then 12 yrs with an airline. When we bought our first family boat in 94 we settled on the name "FLYBOY". I have used that handle and callsign since. Looking at buying FlyboyIII this summer.

Ride safe.

...When I first signed up on this forum, I was a virgin to the way of forums. Username? what's that?

With absolutely no fore thought what-so-ever about the subject, I came up with Arizona-GL1500 but that were way too long. Then I thought, AZGL1500 don't look so good, and finally I just made it AZgl1500 for where I live and what I was riding at the time.

Dunno what I will do if I get a different model bike, probably nothing. I'm kind of used to AZgl1500 now

My wife and I have been avid motorcyclist for many years and she used to say “I need a bikefix” when expressing her need for fun and relaxation. Yes you could say that we are junkies…:action:

Cymru is the name for Wales in the welsh language. I was born there. That's it.

My screen name was a brain child as I sat here at my computer trying to figure out what to call myself for this forum. But it's how I feel you gotta love the wing.

My wife chose it for me as my user name when we got internet in 1995. Its a mix of my first and last names. I'm still using it 14 years later.

Wife used to do Native American crafts & came up with the name. I liked it so much I "appropriated" it as a username. Been using it for around 10 years. It was created by using the 1st 2 letters of the words LOve, PEace & HArmony.

This is one of those threads that comes up from time to time and I enjoy reading where the names come from.  There's always new members that haven't told us their story yet as well.

Mine is my first initial and one of my other passions, SCUBA.  I've been using this handle on the Internet for around 13 years.

John

My user name cbhon was made from the last bike I had (a 1965 Honda CB72) before I bought my first Goldwing 5 years ago.

Regards to all,

I guess I need to tell my story......so sit back and relax.

Snorebaby....kinda makes it's own statement doesn't it?  It's actually how I got my name that is interesting.....I got it from my boss and the crew that I worked with.

I was a Rigger at a Nuclear Defense Facility working for the Dept. Of Energy.  One time we had a Crane/Hoist Inspector training class that 4 of us were attending.  It was being held in Charlotte, NC and was a 4 day class being held the Radisson Hotel next to the Charlotte airport.  Of course the hotel messed up on our reservations....we were supposed to have seperate rooms.... and we ended up splitting 2 rooms (with 2 dbl beds of course) the first night.  After some free flowing libations at the hotel lounge, it was time for bed.  The boss and I were sharing a room and he headed to bed about 45min before I did.  He was already asleep when I got there.  BUT when I woke up the next morning, I was alone in the room.  He actually got up, went to the other room and slept the rest of the night with the other 2 guys!  He said the people on the planes that were flying overhead were wondering what the noise was coming from the hotel!!

After that night....he made sure I was down the hall from him the rest of the week:cooldevil:

After relaying the story to the rest of the crew the next week at work...."Fuzzy" (a heavy equipment operator that rode HD's and had a long beard and hair) started calling me Snorey......and I told them I didn't hear anything..I slept like a Baby.  So everyone just put them together and it has been my name ever since (1994).  I use it all the time, have it on my hardhat, my vest, etc.  Most just shorten it to Snorey....:action:

Just seemed natural....after all I worked with Fuzzy, Top Cat, Granddad, Opie, Cooter, Preacher, Chuck (her name is Charlene), Pops..................
