As most of you have seen in his post, Xtracho has mentioned he's got an eviction notice for just 1 month's rent hanging over his head.

http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum3/85860.html

Well, I've been in contact with him and have asked him if it was ok to post this appeal to the membership, he said yes.

He needs $1350.00 to take care of this and I'm asking for the kind members of this forum to pitch in a couple of bucks(or more if ya got it) to help out.

He does have a PayPal account to send funds to:
xtracho@gmail.com

Now, it doesn't matter how much you give, it adds up and we've done this for others, one of which wasn't even a member of this forum when his house burned down on Christmas Eve. We can do it again I'm sure.

In order to know when we have reached this amount, please PM me how much you've sent and I'll keep a running total till we get enough. This information will be kept private.  Also once we reach the 1350 needed and you still want to give please feel free to do so as anything extra will give him a head start on next month's bills.

If you don't have a PayPal account then with his permission I'll provide his phone number in PM upon request so you can call him for his mailing address, unless he post it in here himself.

He is in New Orleans for the next two days job hunting before heading home. He's staying with his Mother-in-Law to save expenses on the job hunting.

Also if you know anyone in the boating industry that's in need of a captain then give him a PM about it. I don't know what his captain rating is so he'll have to provide that information.

This is the only comment of his I'll post as I know it'll touch your heart like it has mine.

My only concern at this stage is the well-being of Ruth, the kids, and the grandbaby

Please give, the price of a pack of cigarettes will even do as lots of them add up quickly.

Done. And don't forget to mark it as personal and gift so he will receive all the money with no fees taken out.

I am grateful and truly humbled that the members of the forum would accept me as one of their own and make such an effort.

It would be an understatement to say that I was uneasy and apprehensive about posting my thread in this same section of the forum, and equally uneasy about Bagmaster's offer to commence with this effort. But any uneasiness and apprehension pales in comparison to the importance of Ruth, my kids, and the grandbaby.

Regardless of the outcome of such an effort I will be eternally grateful to all that have opened their hearts, offered their support, advice, and guidance in providing possible solutions to such a pressing problem. You can be sure that I will exhaust every avenue available to insure the continued security and well-being of my family.

With regard to my Captain's qualifications: I am a USCG Licensed 100 Ton Master with a Near Coastal rating. I also hold Able Seaman certification, a Marine Radio Operator Permit, and have my TWIC card (it's a TSA/DOT/USCG thing). I have over 20 years experience on vessels ranging from Oceanographic Research to Oilfiled Crew Boats.

If anyone prefers to speak with me personally about things, Bagmaster has my phone number or I will gladly provide it in a PM.

I'm not a proud man, just a family man.... nothing more, nothing less.

Work will come... I've been around long enough to know that. There probably is not any industry in the world that is more cyclical than the petroleum/transport industry.

Again, I cannot stress enough how humbled I am by the compassion and caring for one's fellow man that is demonstrated by the members of this forum.

God Bless you all.

Guys,

Can someone please post the procedure for making a contribution via PayPal?

I have a PayPal account, but rarely use it, so I'm not quite sure how to do this and I want to get it done right.

It's real easy. Open your PayPal acct, click on send money tab, enter his e-mail info---xtracho@gmail.com---then amount you wish to send, be sure to mark it as a gift so he will get the full amount( no fees), and send. Then sit back and reflect on how good it feels to help.
I should add, if you don't have anything in your PP acct, you can send money with a credit card also.

Ok, folks, start ordering those Wingnut patches. I know there's plenty of you out there that don't have them and they look great on any jacket or vest!

Money sent . I think this would be better as a normal thread rather than a stickey and we can keep on bumping it to the top . The problem with a stickey thread is a lot of members ignore the stickeys , If you want me to unstickey it and we can keep and eye on it and try and keep it at the top all the time .. Ciaran
