But the pic of Bagmaster's napping wing did bring back a good chuckle!! Humm seems to me I remember this fellow pulling into the ranch at Calhoun and deciding his wing needed a nap, luckily I didn't snap a shot of it though

If there were no witnesses does that mean it didn't happen twice.

I have not done this "YET" but many years ago I was teaching my brother to ride on an old CB550 and I told him to give it a little fuel, slowly release the clutch and go,well he revved it up to around 4 grand, dumped the clutch and took off like a bat out of hell,he realized his error and was smart enough to roll off the throttle, pull the clutch in and use the brakes.....what he was not smart enough to do was to remember he was on 2 wheels and remember to put his feet domn.Well the bike tipped over and he broke his foot when the bike came down on him,now I know as a good brother I should have run up to him, lifted the bike off of him and told him it would be ok,which I did after the laughing stopped, both his and mine, thats when we discovered his broken foot.Since then he has never tried to ride, but is now looking for a trike.

Rode home yesterday from town and pulled in front of the shop, don't know where the mind was, but turned off the bike and proceeded to rest her on the side stand and about 1/3 way down, realized side stand still retracted. This resulted in the aforementioned eternity of bug-eyed strain, but she never got to the engine guards. Since no one was there, it really didn't happen..... it's all in my mind.

I'll have to admit that one time Carol and I went on a trip out in the bondocks of East Texas. It was late at night, I got off the super slab to read the directions on where we were heading. I slowly pulled the bike to a stop on the service road, I put my feet down, the left foot made contact with the pavement, right foot didn't. Just my luck, she decided to lean to the right. It was about 6 inches later before my right foot finally touch the ground, by that time the the 1100 was at about 45 degree angle. Carol was a good co-rider. She just sat still and didn't scream. I did everything I could possible do but the old girl had the angle and the momentum and I couldn't stop her from taking a nap. A couple we didn't know was behind us and saw the whole thing. The female passenger called 911 to say they were out on I-20 and just witnessed a motorcycle crash with two people on it. After the old girl finally came to rest on her side, I was able to pull Carol out from under the bike and made sure she was ok. The guy got out of his pick-up and came to help me up right the bike. The police came driving up lights on, siren blaring, but nooooo, not just one cop car, but three of them with an ambulance in tow. They question me if everybody was ok then he cancelled the two life flight helicopters. They had aleardy dispatched them to the scene of the "accident". The officer told that when ever they hear a motorcycle goes down on I-20 they automatically dispatch life flight because there is no traumitic hospital in the area that can handle those types of injuries. And then there we sat, on service road of the interstate, three cop cars and an ambulance with all their lights flashing, making EVERYBODY that passed by stare at my dumb a$$.
