Baggy I know that you are on the road as I write this, but I wanted to wish you a safe and uneventful trip, and let us know how you are getting along. And as you know, if you have any troubles, there is always someone close by if you should need us.

Checking in. At the Welcome Center on I-20 just inside the Mississippi state line. Stopped and hit their wireless and booked my motel in Jackson, Miss for the night.

Later.

Car working fine so far.

Ok, checked into the Comfort Inn we've stayed at before in Jackson, Miss. Getting ready to go get a bite at Wendy's and hit the Walmart for my razor blades and some spare batteries. Both are just a block from the motel.

Speaking of traveling grace. This morning our last stop before getting on the road was the local Mini-Mart. We ran into the pastor of the church we used to go to and his wife.

I asked him to do a prayer request at the morning service and he just did a prayer with us right there in the parking lot. Even though he's not my type of preacher I was proud of him for doing that right then.

Glad your Journey to date has gone so smooth Mr Bagmaster,
And that was a great thing indeed to here the pastor offered up prayers
there and then.Talking of prayers still praying for you and your family.

Hi there Tom,

For a member who's only been with us two days:shock:, you've not only welcomed 2 new members, but you've donated here to a very worthy cause.:clapper::clapper: :clapper:

I hope your post puts our "sleeping":whip: members to shame and inspires them to dip into their pockets.

I've clicked [add as a friend] on your post, and added you as a true mate, to an exclusive bunch of members here, who always post, on these distressing calls for help.

God bless you, and a very BIG welcome, to the best GoldWing Forum on the Web..................Brian

One way or the other I will get my donation to Baggy....If he shows up for that M&G for John I will give it to him personally, if not I will mail it to him.....It's heart breaking to talk to someone who has just lost a family member, or a very dear friend..It has personally affected me..

So while Baggy has said that he had received enough, they haven't made it back home yet.....I have not slept very well not knowing if Mike and his family have made it safely here yet....And probably won't sleep well until they roll safely back into their driveway at their home....Guess you might say its my ittle bitty heart feeling for a guy that I've never met, just spoken to on Skype, and here in the forum.....

Just last year or so Mike and his wife drove here to Texas to visit his in laws...On the way here they broke down....This little car that they now and are having to trust to make it here and back it a $500.00 wonder...A Wonder it made it to S.C the first time....I know that times are tough all over for everyone, myself included, I had been putting a couple of dollars a day into my "rat hole" money for some bling for my Wings that I had promised to buy from some members here, but that "rat hole" money will go to Mike...My Wings can wait..... Like Wexy, and others have said we need to keep sending our prayers and a couple of bucks to Mike....

To those who have already given and those who will be helping out Mike and his family, the only words that come to my mind is....God Bless everyone of you....

Claude....

It is amazing how fast the members come out of the woodwork when there is a FREE Christmas draw ,but when it comes to helping another member ? there are a lot of people in this world with deep pockets and very short arms ,

But to those of you who have sent something ,even a dollar helps ,thank you all very very much ,I will be watching the FREE Christmas draw with great interest this year , Ciaran
