AZ, good to hear from you and see that you are on the mend.

Thanks for the really great report. Anyone can use this as a primer for what to discuss with their doctor or hearing tester.

As my time goes on this will come in handy when the need arises.

Equipment costs are interesting to say the least. Medicare does not participate, so the only other financial help is insurance, if any and the deduction on the Fed income tax. Not much help at all.

The up side is being able to hear your favorite tunes. The down side is the excuse of not hearing just disappeared.

Did some more testing work today with new equipment.

New NatCycle windscreen extended full height.
Ear Plugs by Hearos.

The windscreen has all but eliminated the buffeting at speed, at the sacrifice of having to look through the screen. (40+ years of looking over is being slowly dealt with)

The Hearos ear plug is slightly smaller (fits me best) than the others available at Walleys.
I chose Walleys are every town seems to have one. The hearos also has a low price.

The test was conducted in traffic with speeds to 65 mph. High base drum buffet is gone. Backgound issues with Tinnitus is gone do to the plugs. Note: The plugs are stock, not altered. (Next test will use altered plugs).

Bluetooth phone service is much improved as is the radio. The altered ear plugs will allow more earphone sound to enter along with more background noise that affects Tinnitus.

For now these Hearos plugs seem to be the ticket.

Hopefully back next week with further testing info.
